It's annoying about the baby, Penny, Tinny, Harry and Gina make a great foursome. There were enough challenges for them, disability, toxic MiL, Penny's massive blended(ish) family dramas, very new relationship, etc.

Oh it’s bound to be Harry’s child I bet! They are playing up the whole lazy ( but funny ) boyfriend verses the more serious and wealthier Indian gold / new shop buying Vinny. I know the shop probably won’t happen now, but at least he was thinking ahead ( even if it was a bit much for her )

Bea is playing a good part as we all feel creeped out by her and her weird unpredictable behavior.
She is the most unusual of characters but I can see why people are not keen on her !

Vinny is just as flaky as Harry. He's so desperate to keep Penny that he makes rash promises and does stupid things. She can't rely on him any more than she could rely on Harry. I suppose at least Vinny doesn't take cocaine.

In the flashback they were careful not to show baby Ethan so we don’t know if could be Vinny’s or Harry’s (assuming Ethan isn’t a baby from a different, currently unknown storyline!).

My guess is that Jack is looking after him in the flashback because Vinny dumps Penny when the baby is born after finding out it’s Harry’s and she abandons ship as she can’t cope with it all. Jack didn’t look grief-stricken in the flashback, just pissed off, so I don’t think she’s dead or anything.

I can't imagine Penny abandoning the baby unless she was not well enough to look after it. If the baby is full term it will be nearly 3 months old by NYD so she would have had time to recover from the birth. So I don't know how it all fits. I don't think we saw either Harry or Vinny in the flash forward(?) but neither of them would be capable of looking after a young baby.

Perhaps Penny ends up staying in hospital after some kind of complication.

I think she’s supposed to have slept with him off-screen in some non mentioned scene after Harry returned from rehab? Doesn’t really seem plausible to me as he was still in love with Gina and Penny was already meant to be her new BFF by then. But EE love to shoehorn improbable events to support these “whose the daddy” storylines. None of it makes sense really. A mummy’s boy like Vinny is the complete opposite of the kind of man Penny would go for as she likes alpha males but here we are.

My memory may be faulty but I'm sure I recall Penny telling someone on New Year's Eve (before she hooked up with Vinnie) that she had had an epic dry spell??

AFAI remember the spoilers say she slept with him (off screen) the day before he went to rehab, which was 15 December.

Was it Penny saying that about the epic dry spell, or Lauren saying it to her without knowing about Harry?

The writers are always inconsistent. They had Will filming Nugget having a seizure when he was meant to be in Cornwall on holiday and people all in the pub together with no sign of their children around at all so forgetting that she may have had a one night stand with Harry or not is pretty normal for them !

The Will error was so unprofessional. I can't fathom how none of the team picked up on it, or if they did then it was ignored. There was also no reason for Will to be there, it added nothing to the plot

The scene with Will was just so bizarre. He didn’t even speak, just popped up with his camera. The footage he took wasn’t shared was it? What was the point?? It was also completely uncharacteristic as he has been portrayed as a sensitive boy who is very caring towards his sister who has additional needs. Filming a friend who is having a medical incident really doesn’t add up!

@Eastie77Returns I was coming onto the thread to say the same. Why did they have Will doing that? It was out of character for him, and has never been referred to again anyway.

I think it was a ‘glitch in the matrix ‘ that had Will in the chicken shop when he was meant to be in Cornwall.
It’ll never be explained and we shall never know why. I don’t think it was another schoolboy that looked like him , but might have been ! He didn’t say anything and it was a brief shot of him filming. One for the ‘ uncanny ‘ crew to look into maybe ?? 🤔 lol

I do wonder if Oscar will fess up or not. Josh knows now, so he may have to tell Jasmine too ( no choice ) .. I can’t imagine she’ll take it too well.

I’ve just looked through that episode again (25/02 if anyone wants to look) and it’s definitely Will plus he’s listed in the credits.

I had wondered, because I registered it as a 'random', I did not notice it was Will till others mentioned it. Will is a kind hearted sort of guy, it is really out of character.

Honey’s perimenopause storyline is obviously written by a man! As someone who had a similar conversation with her doctor recently it just didn’t sit right

Don’t care about Jasmine and Zoe but do want Josh and Sandra to stick around
