Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

I'm a bit tired of the dramatic peri-menopausal storyline already as Honey is carrying on as if she's got something life threatening and so so terrible. I get that she feels 'old' and they want to do this story as an educational thing, but I just hope she gets help and is much better soon.

I like Josh well enough, though he's a bit of a stereotype young gay man, and I find the jumping into bed with Oscar so quickly a bit too contrived really. Just arrived on the square and he's bumped (literally) into his estranged sister's ex. Walford is a very small place of course...

Meanwhile Bea is being slightly more interesting now we see what her game is a bit more. Very dangerous character potentially.

the80sweregreat · 25/03/2026 12:38

I am wondering if Honey’s symptoms are something else !
It’s good that it’s being flagged up as peri , but women do still have to function of course and you can have HRT ( if your GP recommends it) which is meant to help or other alternatives around.

the80sweregreat · 25/03/2026 12:42

Oscar is promiscuous. I just hope he is using protection , we saw it with Zack how his HIV diagnosis affected him.
( I know that they are all like this, but Oscar has had a few ONS ‘s and he hasn’t been in the show that long!)

Shellingbynight · 25/03/2026 12:43

Remember the first year of EastEnders, Pauline thinking she was menopausal but was up the duff with Martin (RIP).

I don't think Honey is up the duff though! I think they are going to bang the peri menopausal drum.

Zippidydoodah · 25/03/2026 13:00

Oh my, just wanted to find this thread to say how much I HATE Zoe. The character is so fucking whiny and monotonous, and the actress is shit.

the80sweregreat · 25/03/2026 13:05

You can bet a fiver that there will be a scene around Nicola’s baby incubator with her and George and the words ‘ she’s a fighter ‘ being murmured and a few others showing up to show some support.
I just hope it’s sensitively done, but I can imagine she’ll be alright in the end.

Shellingbynight · 25/03/2026 13:14

@Zippidydoodah I know what you mean about Zoe. She isn't as bad as she was last year, constantly whining about MySon and the cat, but she is still very dreary.

George and Nicola seem very relaxed in the flashforward so I guess their drama is over by then.

the80sweregreat · 25/03/2026 14:13

I’m intrigued as to why Nicola was horrible about Chelsea NYD. They barely interact and neither are in it much atm. Nicola also had a bad foot and crutches. No sign of the baby.

Shellingbynight · 25/03/2026 14:22

What did Nic say about Chelsea?

the80sweregreat · 25/03/2026 14:29

NYD, Partick ( in the Vic ) asks Nicola if she has spoken to Chelsea and she replies in a strange manner ( I can’t recall exactly what she replies , but it hints that things are not good between them both) Nicola is sitting with a foot in plaster and with crutches and George who doesn’t say anything.

Anyonecanfallinlove · 25/03/2026 14:52

Yes i keep thinking of the flash forward. Nicola is with George in the Vic, so where is their baby? Possibly in the kiddie cupboard? Also if Ethan is Harry's child, then why is Jack babysitting/caring, and not Nicola or Harry?

Shellingbynight · 25/03/2026 14:56

Thanks 80s, I didn't remember her mentioning Chelsea.
If the baby is born in April then the flashforward is 7/8 months later, but I suppose Nic isn't the type to stay at home with a baby is she.

@Anyonecanfallinlove Jack is still the grandfather though, he's Penny's dad.

Yes i know, and in normal circumstances it wouldn't be questioned, however in the flash forward episode he appears to be in no fit state to be caring for a newborn

GenieGenealogy · 25/03/2026 19:44

Honey's GP clearly went to the same medical school as 2 of the GPs in my practice.

the80sweregreat · 25/03/2026 20:03

Why would the GP not suggest bloods and possibly HRT ? Honeys eating disorder was a while ago and resolved , would it make so much difference now ?
My male GP was very good when I saw him once! He agreed with me that it was all so unfair and was very sympathetic. I guess that it depends who you see sometimes and Honeys one wasn’t great!

Shellingbynight · 25/03/2026 20:08

@Anyonecanfallinlove Nicola isn't even looking after her own baby in the flashforward!

I didn't really enjoy today's episode apart from Oscar and Josh.

I’m already sick of the sight of Vinny. And I was sick of the sight of Bea weeks ago.

And Honey and her perimenopause are annoying me.

GenieGenealogy · 25/03/2026 20:10

Because many GPs are shit.

Bloods are not recommended for women over 45 as they don't tell you much about what's going on as they are just one snapshot in time. Under 45 yes to rule out other issues like thyroid.

I had a hysterectomy when I was 44 - kept my ovaries. The first two (middle-aged, female) GPs I saw when I was about 47 or 48 prescribed anti-depressants. The first male GP I saw when I was almost 49 prescribed folic acid. (wtf?) I basically demanded HRT from the 4th, and got it.

Honey's experience as shown on tonight's ep will be resonating with thousands.

the80sweregreat · 25/03/2026 20:14

I had no idea that Indian gold was so pricy! ( had a look online )
I don’t wear jewellery and I wouldn’t like any of it .
Especially if it’s the same jewellery his mum likes and wears as well.
Vinny is trying too hard, I didn’t realize he was so well off.
The phone business with Cindy was just terrible , it went into pantomime mode there.
I know nobody likes Zoe, but I felt she was being pushed out. It was awkward all round and the pub wasn’t the best place to have a reunion really!

gingercat02 · 25/03/2026 22:04

Honey is 50 is she not really menopausal rather than peri?
I'm actually getting quite involved with the whole Zoe/Jasmine/Josh story sorry not sorry
Gutted about Pen's baby, her and Vinny are cute, Harvey is a waster but him and Gina work.
Will Cindy drop Max in it?

burblish · 26/03/2026 01:52

I'm annoyed that they've turned what could have been a really interesting and educational story about how a disabled woman deals with pregnancy and looking after a baby into just another musical daddies drama. Penny and Vinny have been becoming a very sweet couple, which also made a refreshing change. Bah.

burblish · 26/03/2026 02:00

@the80sweregreat Yep, Indian gold jewellery is almost always either 22k or 24k (i.e. pure gold). That's why it's more expensive than "Western" good jewellery, which is usually 9k or 14k, exceptionally 21k (or even only gold-plated rather than solid gold). Indian gold jewellery also tends to be handmade (or at least hand-finished) by artisans rather than mass-produced.

the80sweregreat · 26/03/2026 04:59

It shows Vinny’s immaturity really.
I’m sure that Penny would have preferred money towards things for the baby than jewels! or even some money towards the bills.
I know that I would in her position. I know he mentioned the shop..
