I would like Jasmine to die soon in prison, a painful death with preferably a bit of torture. She won’t though because she’s a big part of the show, unfortunately.

I agree with Shelling that bringing in this story was a big mistake, not helped by the actress being awful.

Going out on a limb but thinking about how jasmines foster mum described her as cold and unfeeling etc it could actually be that the actress is playing the part much better than we think, I mean she does the whole dead behind the eyes thing really well doesn’t she? So all her acting with other characters is also an act… it’s a huge stretch though

myson does know that Oscar has slept with them both doesn’t he? Only jasmine doesn’t.

penny will probably get away with the DNA for a few months as Nicola will be preoccupied

@storminabuttercup it did cross my mind that the Jasmine actress was playing it 'right', but I don't think so because there have been plenty of psycho soap characters and there is always more than that side to them, they tend to be quite charming while they are not doing their dastardly deeds. She is one-note-dead-behind-the-eyes even in run of the mill scenes.

I agree with you @Southeastdweller a quick painful death for Jasmine would work well for me!

@Gonnagetgoingreturnsagain I think there is massive evidence from everyone who has parented her that Jasmine is 'difficult' to say the least. I have no doubt she caused the death of her foster dad, we already know she killed Antnee, didn't seem bothered about it, and was fully prepared to let Zoe spend her life in jail for it. Case closed as far as I'm concerned!

Could you check up on a DNA report ? I suppose Nicola could pretend to be Penny , but not sure how much info they could give over the phone. She may get away with it , but it’s a huge gamble and she must know that it’s all bound to come out sooner or later , she’s just kicking the can down the road isn’t she !

The shed is just an excuse to bring up Martin, and to get some extra scenes. It's all pointless because they don't all fit in the shed together, they have to stand outside, well they could have had their "man" chat outside anywhere.
Jasmine should have had Martin's death.
Joel got 6 months, so realistically how many months will he do? Does the 6 months include the time he has already done? Will he be let out for good behaviour? Either way he will be back on the square by halloween. There's no way Vicky and Ross can stay together, as Ross quite rightly said "where will Joel live", he will be there for Joel when he gets out, and that's a recipe for disaster for Vicky

What would you do with Joel though ? Could he go into care or maybe back to his mum ? He shouldn’t be allowed near Vicki. He’ll probably say his reformed and turn into a nightmare if they allowed any of this to happen, but Ross is a push over when it comes to Joel.
Would social services be involved here ( in real life)
He is too young to live alone.

I'm glad there is the prospect of Joel returning - he an actor who does good 'evil'. Even though he was doing awful things, he was so watchable.

I think time served on remand would be taken into account, if so he will be back shortly (he was arrested in October). Assuming he does return to the square it will be interesting to see if he has really reformed, or pretend reformed. I'm sure SS would be involved, they were with Tommy weren't they.

Bang goes the wedding. How did Ross and Vicki think it would work? Even if Joel got two years that is just kicking the can down the road, they would have the same problem.

It must be a dilemma for parents whose children end up in juvenile detention especially in this case as Vicki can’t be around him. He could easily pull off a Nick cotton story, pretending his reformed or ‘ found god ‘ and try and poison them all instead. Maybe another candidate for being the gun holder ( with a plot around Jasmine or Josh or Max ?) but it’s not a credible link.

I’m several episodes behind and dismayed to hear Jasmine is back on the scene.

I’m assuming Josh’s mum hasn’t revealed why she gave Jasmine up for (re)adoption at the age of 8? I can only assume she did something to Josh or the dad who died (although the mind boggles to think what an 8 year old could have done). It’s very odd that the Slaters haven’t asked her about this. I mean she adopted the twins and then sent one packing a few years later, surely Zoe would be curious? Or why hasn’t Josh asked her either, mum why did you give up my sister??

The frustrating thing about the whole story with the twins is the fact hardly anyone asks any questions Eastie! Or they ask questions weeks later when we have all moved on.
Lauren and Cindy met Jasmine’s other mum ages ago pre Christmas time and she said she was dangerous, yet neither have passed on any of this to anyone else ( far as I know ) and it’s only now Kat has had a chat to Sandra and found out a few things and she has been around for a few weeks. It’s all moved at a snails pace and all over the place , so people start to lose interest.
For an eight year old Josh remembers her very well ( which is fair enough ) and all she said was that Sandra couldn’t cope after Keith died , but not why and he didn’t push the narrative.

Joel will come back to the Square and Zac (who is a Registered Foster Carer) will take over his monitoring .
Zac doesn't have his own place but either he'll miraculously be able to afford somewhere or he'll be living with Ross and Vicki still ,
Social Services will see Joel is in his family environment , the changed character will last until he spies Vicki'n'Zac getting it on .
Then he'll have the ammunition to blackmail her .

70s ! Sounds about right there re Joel. Vicki will be found out and the whole sorry saga rolls on.
Joel was good in it though , so I don’t mind his return ( if he does )

I saw a spoiler than someone photographs/records Zicki ( 🤮 ) next week. My money is on Mark.

Mark is on to her isn’t he, he knows that she fancies him. Someone tries to blackmail Vicki as well, I can’t imagine Mark doing that , but maybe he needs cash to pay off the gangsters ..

Zoe's lipstick colour is awful today. In fact her whole make up is not good at all!

Why is Kat dressed as Adam Ant?

Big old threat there from Nicola. I suppose she’ll try and finish off Penny once the truth gets out as she did with Shireen ( or however you spell her name)
She is ruthless and won’t like being lied to.

I actually think the actress playing Jasmine has improved slightly, dare I say it. It’s Michelle Ryan’s (Zoe) terrible acting that’s setting my teeth on edge. She only has one facial expression, which appears to be channelling ‘really bad constipation’. I don’t remember her being this awful back in the day!

I really thought that Jasmine would click how close Oscar and Josh are while she was giving evidence and that’s when she would lose it

Doing that in a cell on her own was pretty pointless

Noisy, yes, Michelle Ryan wasn’t that bad years ago , but she hasn’t been on form since her return and it’s been patchy. I wonder if she’ll stay on or be written out , although I haven’t heard she is leaving or anything.
Things may improve, but I think she’s just struggled with it all. It has been a muddled storyline though and farcical at times.

To be fair, I think the best award winning actress would struggle with the garbage Michelle Ryan has been given to work with. The entire plot with the twins and Dr Evil has been ludicrous from the start. Jessie Wallace has been wearing a pained expression for months and I don’t think she’s acting, it must be very difficult for her so perform in scenes with a someone as atrocious as Jasmine. I’m imagining there are lots of retakes in their scenes. Josh is better but he’s a bit jazz hands and cliche.

I was back to finding it almost impossible to watch EE today. Not just because of Jasmine and her dead eyed performance, but because of the effect on Kat and Zoe, Zoe shouting the odds, makes demands and storming off. It really shows up Michelle Ryan’s poor acting too.

It must be the quickest murder trial in history, all done in two days and the verdict given in a few hours. Absolute hogwash, the whole lot of it. This Jasmine-Zoe storyline ruined the last half of 2025 and it's going to ruin the rest of 2026 isn't it.😕

Ross said Joel has ‘six months from now’ in young offenders, so he’ll be back in the autumn.

Maybe the love triangle will blow up rather quickly and Jasmine will disappear and be a footnote in EE history.
You have to keep being hopeful !

I don’t think Mark would record or blackmail Vicki. I do think he has bit of an unhealthy interest in her love life, constantly quizzing her about Zack. Most men would not want to know what their sister gets up to!

He hasn’t slept with anyone on the square yet which must be some kind of record so no doubt there’s a big reveal to come about his personal life. My money’s on a secret wife (who turns up in a Black cab of course).

Mark keeps creeping around checking up on Zicki, but I agree it could be anyone really, I just can't think of anyonelse who would be bothered.

80s I find it hard to be optimistic where Jasmine is concerned!
