EE aren’t bothering to provide any suspense with Jasmine’s trial because in the brief episode summaries in week beginning the 13th (link in first post of the thread) Jasmine “starts to feel at home at the Slaters”.

Bring Cheap Polyester Suit Man back for E-Laine ( he was a charming bloke , why just that one scene then he's off on the Tube to wherever he came from )

Then Ian can pair up with Linda .

Ian + E-Laine : no . They can be frenemies
Ian + Linda : would work . He's got a load of baggage but so has Linda .
E-Lane+ CPS Man : he was an escape from the all consuming drudgery of her failing marriage when George was still running after crumbs from Cindy . Longer term they could do it , even a long distance thing . Just don't make him a bad'un.

Oh no, not Ian and Linda! I mean, I’ve warmed to Ian as he has quite a good sense of humour these days, but she’s too lovely for him 😆

Josh and Bea - talking in the Square and Bea is hovering behind the railings in plain site . Dee would've stopped talking to Josh and asked "Can I HELP you Bea" to get rid of her

Ian goes on a date next week with Bea.

Oh no! He doesn’t deserve that! 😆

Ian and Bea? She asked him for a job once and he sent her away with a flea in her ear ! However , this is EE where such interactions are soon forgotten.

Beian ? Must be a good mash up name we can come up with for those two ..

I suppose it’s a longish wait now for Penny to have her baby and we can find out if it’s Ethan or not!
It’s gone a bit quiet with Mark and the dodgy cars and Ravi has also gone off grid.
I suppose with Jasmine back all that will take centre stage. I hope that Zac sees the light and stops mooning over Vicki. She isn’t worth his time.

Surely Mark is about to get shot as he has not raised the £10k. It's all gone quiet on that storyline but I doubt Top Gangster is willing to wait long.

I am dreading Jasmine's return. She drags down every scene she's in.

I bet that Mark made a lot more on the car than he thought and managed to pay off the gangsters.
He looked relaxed the other day talking to Vicki and not at all worried did he ! Or maybe it’ll be another forgotten story until Ravi returns and they discover he still owes them money. Or maybe his already fencing the cars with Lauren on the quiet ? Who knows !

Mel was far too lovely for Ian but somehow he managed to marry her - okay the fact he lied about Lucy being ill to blackmail her into staying and he was the worlds most snivelley crier probably was a factor .

Linda and Phil wouldn't work - two recovering alcoholics would be a bad relationship in Eastenders .

When Grant comes back for Nigel's last storyline him and Linda might gel ?

I’d almost forgotten what a snivelling little weasel he was; he’s definitely better now. I used to wonder why the hell he has been in this show since the very first episode (save for a bit of time when he ran away and grew a beard) as he was so awful, but countless other characters didn’t last long.

I don't think they even got to cut the cake !
They married on the Millennium Eve but Mel found a letter with Lucy's results (all clear) and stormed out .

He's one of those "love to hate you" characters isn't he ?
Either smarmy and conceited and right up himself or paffetic and whingey .
The look of fear when he picks on someone who outclasses him is epic .
Ian has always been there , even when he vanished to be a vagrant , he's a bit like Kevin Webster in Corrie , one of the foundations

Ooh, Linda & Grant would be good! That would cause mayhem when Mick eventually washes up on Southend beach…

Grant is only there for a short stint so he wouldn't be any good for Linda. Not to mention the fact he can't act 😆

The Mail reported that he filmed his final scenes two days ago. Earlier The Sun reported that he was filming at the seaside with Phil and Nigel.

Ahh, the obligatory scene at the seaside looms and reminiscing about seaside trips or ‘ Beano’ trips to Margate then ! I like Nigel, I hope they do it justice.

I agree that Linda could be paired with anyone and make it work. Just thinking back to her alcoholic dream/nightmare episode, she was paired with a homeless alcoholic and she even managed to make that a believable relationship

80s yes poor dying Lola went to Margate didn't she!

Now I think of it, Grant is called back to Walford by Mark so presumably he's going to bail him out cash-wise. And then he remembers his best mate is close to death so off they go to the seaside.

Last Easter , Nigel was dressed as the Easter Bunny .
Someone (E-Laine maybe ) will organise something for the kiddies in the Square , an Egg Hunt maybe or treasure trail . All the children will be sprung from the Kiddie Kupboard for the day and run screaming round , in full on fancy dress of course , to find a load of manky looking eggs of dubious origin,
This will be arranged with No Planning , No Financial Outlay , just a spread the word and everyone wanders along .
Ian might knock out a few free chips to give him brownie points in the elections .
Then the Queen Vic will do drinks on the 'ouse
Because no matter what is going on in their lives , it all gets shelved for a Knees Up .

I am betting Josh will rustle up some amazing costume . Oscar can wear Nigel's Bunny Suit .
