Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Wasn't that corny in tonight's episode about Elaine & Ian Beale? I might have known the scriptwriters were building up to a cheese on toast situation, even though they were eating chips ! But then, the Easter season is all about forgiveness and redemption. I never wear green, as I'm superstitious, but really like Elaine's coat, looked lovely with red hair.

SnowFrogJelly · 03/04/2026 01:06

I thought Nicola was great tonight.. not so keen on George.. can’t stand Bea!

the80sweregreat · 03/04/2026 03:47

I like E’ laine and Ian can be nice sometimes. It’s not a great potential romance, but at least they can both act and it may be funny if they pretend to hate each other when really they don’t! Friends may have been better idea though. Both could do with one I think.

the80sweregreat · 03/04/2026 03:50

George wasn’t too bad , supportive and kind. He is one of the better actors in it , even if he and Nicola are the odd couple. How he’ll run a new business and take care of her and Ivy is a challenge for him. Poor Nicola too of course :(

the80sweregreat · 03/04/2026 03:52

Zac is gorgeous, he should go online dating and keep out of Vicki’s way! He needs to stop mooning over her..

the80sweregreat · 03/04/2026 03:54

Of course jasmine will get off and back to annoy everyone soon enough. I still feel she may be the gun holder NYD.

Shellingbynight · 03/04/2026 08:31

Oh that's an interesting idea about the shooter 80s. Although it would mean we are still stuck with Jasmine and I was hoping she would have gone by then!

I think George used to be one of the better actors, but he seems to be phoning it in now. I didn't 'feel' anything from him in yesterday's episode, it was just him reading a script.

I really don't get why Zack would be interested in Vicki. And they have no chemistry.

I agree Ian and Eelaine would be better as friends, please no dating.

thisoldcity · 03/04/2026 12:16

I agree the Vicki and Ross shagging was really very odd - the allotments in March? Hardly inviting when their own home is just round the corner. Maybe it's to signal that Vicki might get pregnant soon, given the clunky plots they are coming up with.

I'm actually quite interested in Penny's story. There is something about Penny that is quite independent and feisty, but in a low key way. She often reminds Jack about the past and what a useless father he's been and stood up to Nicola very well. I hope this all works out for her.

Caught up with the week

Lauren berating Penny about she must tell Vinny/Harry , ignoring Oscar who said why tell ? Ummm...... Lauren had a ONS with Zac then there was a Is it Zac's Is it Pe-Ah's baby dilemma when she was pregnant with Jimmy .
Butt out you sanctimonious bat , it is none of your business !
Also discussing in the cafe , they must know that a whisper can be overheard in the Queen Vic with music on and sixty people chattering . They have supersonic hearing

Josh and Bea - talking in the Square and Bea is hovering behind the railings in plain site . Dee would've stopped talking to Josh and asked "Can I HELP you Bea" to get rid of her .

Ian and Elaine was nice , predictable but no romance . Her Ex Husband was married to His Ex Wife . So they're practically faaaamily .

Ha yes, agree with so much of this! The 'overhearing a low-voiced conversation 20 feet away over pub/cafe background noise' thing winds me up every time it happens!!

Bea's hovering was ridiculous, she wasn't even pretending to be doing anything other than listening in 🙄

Oh god, I hadn't considered they might do yet another "Who's the daddy?" storyline so soon after Penny's, but if they do it with Vicki & Zac I'll have to send the writers a strongly worded email 😂

thisoldcity · 03/04/2026 13:28

@NoisyBrain me too! Vicki is one of the few women of childbearing age on the Square who hasn't had children yet, so I can see them going there. Plus Zack's HIV...

I feel the writers too often think, hmm...what is a woman's storyline...babies, abortion, adoption, who's the daddy. When actually it is sometimes quite interesting to see other things. Penny starting her own shop would be interesting, for example. I think Elaine choosing the 'look' for her Palace, rather than being shown it complete could have been a good storyline, as clearly a lot of thought went into it all.

I sort of like the Elaine / Ian secret friendship as a change from the usual. They could have some fun with pretending to be sworn enemies, but secretly be quite friendly. Not THAT friendly though. That would be too much.

Shellingbynight · 03/04/2026 13:38

Surely we are safe from another pregnancy? This year we already have babies with Nic, Penny and Max's mystery woman (probably Priya).

the80sweregreat · 03/04/2026 13:56

A non feud with Ian and E Laine as friends could be fun , but the writers will probably get them together eventually :(
Agree that women and the baby stories have been done to death now, but on it goes.
Maybe Penny will make a go of the shop , then Suki finds out Vinny isn’t the dad and turfs her out of it! She is ruthless especially over business deals and her precious son. It would make a change to see another woman business owner on her own doing well , Nicola is doing ok and so is Elaine but always room for more of them.

Shellingbynight · 03/04/2026 14:04

Even if the test shows it is Vinny's, Suki will probably find out there was some doubt about it, and go ballistic.

Sharon did okay as a business woman too. If she doesn't return I would like to see Sam step into her role and stop being just Phil's flaky sister.

the80sweregreat · 03/04/2026 15:18

Sam did well with the club that time. She is a good character underused.

TurquoiseDreamCatcher · 03/04/2026 15:26

I just can’t buy that Harry is the dad. When he went to detox he was a broken man who was suffering awful side effects. Would Penny really have slept with him when he was scratching and riffing as well him mooning over Gina.

Bluesandwhites · 03/04/2026 16:59

Just had a thought, I think George and Linda would be a nice couple, even though he was recently divorced from her mum !

Give it time Grin Eastenders don't seem to worry that family/relationships overlap.

It's like two carousals going round and round , someone steps off each one and "Yeah , why not" they're an item.

Bluesandwhites · 03/04/2026 19:44

@70isaLimitNotaTarget
Agreed ! Also the amount of EE couples who have split and then end up back together, ie Kat & Alfie, Billy & Honey, Ian & Cindy . . . .

I agree. They have more chemistry than E-laine and George.

LemonPoundCake · 03/04/2026 21:30

E-Laine and George were never a good fit. Always felt awkward and lacked chemistry. I could definitely see him with Linda, but that would be very wrong!

Shellingbynight · 04/04/2026 08:25

I can see Linda with almost anyone because Kellie is so good at giving it chemistry. I could have even seen her with Alfie back when they were mates, and can (just about) see her with Max, So yes she'd work with George, because she'd work with almost anyone!

They really need to pair her up.
