Broadchurch… worth it?

Sorry, it’s me again, I’m getting desperate! Trying to look for something that’s very easy to watch, but with a bit of bite to keep me watching, I’ve abandoned murder at the end of the world, and wondering whether Broadchurch is worth a look, an old one but a good one?? I’d be starting at series 1, I’ve never seen it before! Is it worth giving it a look?

That's a shame, OP, it gets really gripping as you get into it. But life is too short…

Trying to think who’d have been wooden; they were mostly good I think… DT and OC were great. Was also surprised by Pauline Quirke.

Dad was a bit rubbish, though

Finally got around to watching this.

I really enjoyed it overall, great acting, great to look at, great tension.

The script was great in terms of keeping you guessing and building characters.

The one major issue I have with it is that each series had a denouement which to me felt preposterous, contrived and unbelievable.

I know that it's difficult to write scripts that tick all the boxes but surely the reveal at the end has to be somewhat believable and plausible and I didn't think that was the case for any of the 3 series.
