My partner was rather insulting to me earlier. I asked him why he doesn't watch the soaps with me. He said they are brain rot and that you have to be of a paticularly low intelligence to watch them. Nice to know what he thinks about me eh? 😒

They’ve been showing Ibsen plays on BBC4 lately if he wants something highbrow. After an hour he’ll be delighted to watch Emmerdale

I am of reasonable intelligence but like TV that's not highbrow so Emmerdale certainly fits that bill.
As people have said before, this thread is far more entertaining than the show itself.

Absolutely agreed..DF says he watches it for the acting and as it's a soap you have to allow for the mad storylines and try not to worry about it too much!
