The Our Girl Addicts Thread 78 Stay focused, we are now watching Downton Abbey

We are about to watch the final episode in the final series of Downton. Our little gang has previoulsy watched all the series of Our Girl, Soldier Soldier, The Musketeers and Spooks. We dipped a toe into Hustle then moved onto Downton which has kept us occupied in the comings and goings of the Crawley family.

Oh this funeral was heart rending. Mrs Smurf still convinced Molly had been is girl friend

I’d forgotten how she got to see Bashkirs again.

Molly has been to the palace and gets her medal then goes back to Afghan.

CJ is sad to see her go, but understands.

Remember the continuity man on the BBC telling viewers to watch to the very end of the credits...good job we did.

Molly has progressed so far. She sounds so confident and assured.

Qaseem has found Bashira. Molly is showing true Georgie spirit here and won't be put off going even though it is dangerous.

That conversation with CJ was really odd. At the time I really thought it had all gone to pot between them Molly back in Afghanistan is that a letter to CJ she was writing

How Molly has gained in confidence when she goes back to Afghanistan. Here she is delivering a lecture.

Look who turns up! Qaseem and he has news of Bashira. Molly insists on going to see her and convinces Qaseem. Conveniently there is a burkha somewhere around for her to borrow!

I think we all thought Molly was going to be kidnapped or something and in series 2 CJ would have to rescue her....but wait...we get that with Georgie instead.

Molly sees Bashira again and they are reunited. Threatening music, but it all ends up happily.

All because Lacey Turner went back to Eastenders!

I have only just realised that the security guards at the school are European (or American). Definitely not Afghans.

It's a good ending and Molly is repeating CJ's words.

Oh, such a lovely reunion with Bashira.

And here is the reunion we really wanted....Ahhhhhhhhh!!!

Wait for it!

CJ opens the door to No 21 Royal Crescent........ and Molly is there! "Missed me?"

Pity we had the repeat of Bashira with the Obnoxious Brat, and then again in Nigeria with Fingers and the new SF guy.

Yes, start of series 2! Looking forward to it.

Now I am going back to my all time favourite scenes in the restaurant with CJ in his civvies. Shame the DVD played up before. The head waiter when we sat at that very table the following year was so affected! My friend had no idea the table had been pre-arranged for us and it makes me laugh to this day that she thought it was coincidence.

Well managed to post a bit simply because I knew what was going to happen without actually watching much and trying to post instead. Proves how many times I have watched it over the years. Yes next series 2 and I hope to have my techie problems fixed by then.
