The Our Girl Addicts Thread 78 Stay focused, we are now watching Downton Abbey

We are about to watch the final episode in the final series of Downton. Our little gang has previoulsy watched all the series of Our Girl, Soldier Soldier, The Musketeers and Spooks. We dipped a toe into Hustle then moved onto Downton which has kept us occupied in the comings and goings of the Crawley family.

It was a smouldering look CJ gave Molly.

She tries to smooth things over.

You went to Newport???

.... but then he finds out Molly has been to Newport to see Smurf.

Jealousy!!

Bit late to be telling Smurf the truth now....oh dear, he loves her...awkward!

Again she is being unfair to Murf and screaming at him. She did lead him on. As for CJ well he too is being a bit of a Wally

CJ reverts to CO, but he is flipping fuming and sulking.

CJ wondering if he has got things right or not.

Head nod!!!

This upcoming bit with the trucks always makes me laugh, as one of them just about avoids a crash

Journey back to Bastion. Only boys going to school. No changes.

Molly notices that despite all their efforts, none of the girls are going to school.

I remember learning that those vehicles were called Mastiffs. It always made me think of dogs.

What's this? Something under the tarpaulin? Could be a booby trap. CJ and Molly go to investigate.

We always thought it was totally wrong for CJ to be out front doing the investigation.

Molly is off on her death wish.

This scene is really a bit cringey.

No waiting out for Molly. She follows him. Then starts explaining and asks a few awkward questions.

Molly takes the opportunity to talk to CJ without the others listening. "I'm fond of you sir". And then "Do you love me?" I think we all held our breath at that point. Oh no, it's Sohail under the tarpaulin.

Scary when the hand comes out.

Definitely was. Couldn't suddenly see her being so direct as they hadn't really had much of a talk.

I will try not to laugh at the "He's gone off" bit.

It was a strange saying, that's for sure.

Oh we see a new side of Sohail who then suddenly dies

The finger of fate points at Molly.

Such a lovely ending to this episode when Molly is crying.
