A new thread as the first BB aka Blondes Broadcasts is nearly full and was almost 2years ago I set up BB rather then tagging people on the threads as I used to do - which was very time consuming

I love tv - whether murders - detectives - thrillers - comedy’s - food programmes etc

i watch a lot usually at work as usually Reflux baby over shoulder

all will tv paced - Nice to discuss plots and Theories etx

I didn’t! Doubt I’ll be tuning in for another series. I found this one hard going.

We've watched all the Grace series - but the last couple have really been blighted by poor scripting/dialogue (and sometimes bad acting, even from John Simm!).

So much 'telling' rather than 'showing' - along with long, lingering looks to the camera at the end of some kind of weighty pronouncement.

Only reason we've stuck with them is that the storylines are pretty good.

I've been watching The Nordic Murders on C4. Not really Nordic at all, but German. Just finished S5, which had long episodes, around 90 mins, so more like a TV movie really. I think perhaps earlier seasons had shorter eps, can't remember for sure. Anyway, point is, without making any great claims for what is a meat-and-potatoes TV series, it knocks Grace into a cocked hat for character deveoplment, plotting, and, indeed acting.

Is that foreign and subtitles

Nordic Murders waa really good. I think I might have missed the last couple of series tho. Something to look forward to!
this series of Grace was tedious. Don’t know what they have done to it.

I struggle with those. Eve tho I’m semi deaf I like to watch /hear English but read subtitles (plus so many actors mumble or background music /nose so loud)

it does my simple brain in hearing foreign but reading English 😂

I love Walter Presents stuff.

One of my favourites was Clan/Outlaws which was remade as Bad Sisters I think.

I'm currently watching Two Summers which has one of the women from Clan/Outlaws in it.

Outlaws was brilliant! But got largely ignored in favour of the re-make.

I checked back through a bit more carefully, I'd just finished S6, but I hadn't seen S4 (which starts very promisingly), and I remember S3, so I may have two more seasons to go!

Looking forward to No 1 Fan, with those stalwarts of channel 5 drama series, Jill halfpenny and Sally lindsay 😀
