How do you achieve this? For once I'd love the algorithm to break a leg spying on me. Any accounts you can recommend to follow?

I joined Threads purposefully for HR. My feed there is 99.99% HR related content. It’s bliss.

Oh I loved this one! Totally different obviously but with equally brilliant acting.

Finished fellow travelers, it was really good and so sad. Now I’ve moved on to the interview with the vampire series on iPlayer 🤣

@HermioneWeasley I am pretty sure in the books there are a couple of other liaisons with men. But basically yes. Hence the wonderful yearning.

I have watched. More than once. The acting is really good I think. Both the main characters are great at subtlety showing emotion with their faces. Shane especially. There’s a little lip tremble at one point that almost made me weep for him. That those 2 actors could commit to the sex scenes so well is great too.

I just went through a re-watch and there are so many facial nuances I missed the first time.
A lot of the emotions are played out non-verbal. There is definitely a good personal chemistry between the actors to make this so real.

The most heartbreaking part for me is Ilya's monologue in Russian.

There was somewhere an interview with an intimacy coordinator who explained how sex scenes are done, it's the most clinical and often embarrassing part of the filming but it comes over so very intimate, sensual and loving.

I planned to cancel my NOW subscription but I may keep it for another month or so.

Connor Storrie is in Paris at the moment, I really hope they both make it London this week for a chat show appearance.

For a bit of refreshingly non-angsty, often hilarious HR-related content, I recommend the Empty Netters podcast. Two American blokes and an Irish guy on what I assume to be a normal hockey podcast (I think the Americans at least are players, or ex-players). Their blow-by-blow (!!) analysis is endearing and upbeat - at least on the reviews of the first two episodes.

There's another podcast by two northern Irish guys called Declan and Silvan, but I've not listened to that one properly yet. I'll do it after Empty Netters, if my fixation continues - and it shows no sign of abating. I am obsessed with this show and with consuming everything I can about it. Including endless rewatches on a loop.

@Rousillon849, I am totally obsessed, my kindle is suddenly constantly at my side as I work through the books! A lot of the script is lifted from the book but the book gives more meaning to some scenes. Plus there is a “Las Vegas” scene blog on Rachel Reid’s website.

One of the empty netters said some pretty homophobic things about HR and then tried to argue them away, so the HR cast joining the empty netters for an episode has now been cancelled.

I forgot to recommend the Ilya POV Vegas thing! I came across it at the weekend. Delighted to have fellow obsessives here!

Oh no! That's a shame. There is definitely a shift from the first episode to the second episode review. In the first episode they are definitely making fun of some parts of the show, especially the hockey inaccuracies in the show (the Boston flying commercial bit made me laugh) but, I thought, in a fun and respectful way.

By the second episode, it looks to me like two things have happened: they have taken an absolute pasting in the comments and have realised the fandom is not to be messed with, and they have been completely captured by the show. Like everyone else. So they come across as a lot more respectful, and genuinely wanting to understand stuff. It's a shame if they messed this up.

I hope they don’t tbh. Though I despise the shallowness of chat shows anyway. The ones in the US have mainly been all about the sex. It’s a show much more than that.

Oh, I would love to see Hudson and Connor on UK chatshows. They are a hoot together - Hudson is a hoot full stop. Both so different from their characters, you get to appreciate even more what brilliant actors they are. And they have leant into the sex thing with the Ember and Ice narration - I cannot imagine it bothers them one bit. At least not yet. It may get old in future, for sure!

Yes read The Long Game once, it’s very emotional and I have no idea how they will translate some scenes on to TV!
