Welcome to the EastEnders spoilers thread, where we post and talk about any EE spoilers we've read about, including those in early release episodes on iPlayer.

Link below to watch episodes on BBC iPlayer - these are usually dropped at 6am on broadcast days - and you can read brief synopses of upcoming episodes:

Where is this Honey/Bea/Suki thing going.
Agree enough of the Zicky stuff.

cramptramp · 03/02/2026 21:05

Is Julie on the sick from teaching? Wouldn’t she still be on a probationary period? Do they have them in teaching? I wonder how much she got from the Scotland house? Nigel’s not that old and could live for many years, so that money will dwindle pretty quickly on the care home fees won’t it? So many questions …..

the80sweregreat · 03/02/2026 21:29

The money for the care home will be gone in less than two years probably ( that’s only a guess ) but no idea what kind of profit Julie made on the house or if they had savings. If she paid off the mortgage and savings are less than 16k, he may get help with the fees ?
All depends on their finances and no mention if the house was even sold or anything when she returned.
She won’t have anywhere to live once his in the care home , as how can she pay for the b and b and the fees and the house selling fees and she doesn’t seem to ever be at work! Those cards he found under the tree probably didn’t fetch anything and wasn’t mentioned again anyway!
Julie is in a very precarious position now. Loads of money to find and nowhere for her to live.

the80sweregreat · 03/02/2026 21:33

Someone on Facebook had a theory that Bea will somehow doctor the cctv in the shop to make it look like only Honey had the wine and was drinking at work then Bea will rob the shop as Honey won’t be working there anymore! Good theory, but next week Honey goes on holiday and I’m sure that Suki won’t put up with any threats !

Oh Vicki! It’s tricky
When Ross takes the mickey
By siding with Joel over you
But Zicki is icky
So don’t be so picky
Could Ian be the lover for you?

😂

I saw somewhere that Sean Slater is coming back too!

storminabuttercup · 04/02/2026 06:28

I was confused with the scene at the end yesterday where Phil was on the phone, seemed like he was talking to someone about getting Nigel into a home? Was it the same one Julie was waiting for a call from or had he found a better one? The one they went to look at won’t take him now he’s being violent I assume? A friends mum had Alzheimer’s and would sometimes get nasty and the home had her moved, she was a tiny little thing with no strength Nigel is a big strong ish bloke! So maybe Phil had found somewhere better but looks like he’s not going to take him now

I was initially confused as we didn't see whether Phil made or received the call. But I have concluded that he received it and yes, it was the care home Julie was waiting to hear from. So now Phil won't tell her they rang and Nigel won't go into care (for at least awhile longer anyway).

Love this😂 But Ian and Vicky are second cousins so if they got together it would be even more icky🤢😭

Shellingbynight · 04/02/2026 08:11

@Meredusoleil yes that’s what I thought, Phil took the call and won’t tell Julie. They wouldn’t let him stay anyway as she has not disclosed he’s violent and they would quickly find out.

MaybeNotNo · 04/02/2026 09:44

I was sitting on edge while Phil and Julie and Mark jr were talking in the hallway.

I thought it was going to be a scalds issue with the bath - so was waiting for the screams and the stress and panic of getting him out.

However, (remembering this is the spoilers thread) was him going under water him.... leaving?

Shellingbynight · 04/02/2026 09:51

That would be a bit too much like the death of the other EastEnder with dementia, Sylive (Shirley's mum). She was electrocuted in the bath at the Vic.

But they do tend to get rid of dementia characters with a convenient quick death.

It may just be a device to show Phil he can't keep Nigel safe and he needs to go to a care home. If he does I imagine that will be the end of Nigel for the viewers anyway, I can't see them showing many care home scenes. Dementia care home visits are a mixture of boring and distressing. But if Nigel leaves hopefully Whispering Julie will too!

Southeastdweller · 04/02/2026 10:02

I was thinking he shouldn’t be allowed to have a bath by himself? Sorry if that sounds crass, no idea how that works in reality.

I think the NIgel storyline is quite well done on the whole. To me they are trying to act out all the possible scenarios that you might think would work - go to a friends, B and B, go abroad, care home. No one likes any of the decisions that have to be made but it's showing you need help whatever. Julie is actually really lucky to have Phil who cares so much for Nigel he is over-involved if anything. IRL everyone takes a step back, I imagine.

the80sweregreat · 04/02/2026 10:47

Some members of my family were not happy when my dad went into a care home for just over a year.
It was hard. It is a difficult decision

NowNumber5 · 04/02/2026 10:50

Is that the end of Nige then?

Phil stepping in to help Nigel say his vows 🥲
I like they've put in the sibling rivalry storyline in with Ravi's kids.
Hate Nicola and Harry gaslighting poor Barn.
OK, so they technically didn't do anything to Nugget, but they have a role to play in what happened.
Good for Honey standing up to Bea and saying her "rubbish job" meant a lot to her and her family.
It's a true to life statement 👏

I know this is MN and we're not supposed to say things like this but love to you all who have had to make difficult decisions regarding family members.

MsHybridFanGirl · 04/02/2026 11:00

ADVICE PLEASE.... I missed about 15 years of Eastenders and only started watching again at the start of 2025.... Can anyone recommend a good place to start re watching classic/older episodes?

I’m confused by Honey working in the Minute Mart though, wasn’t she a market inspector and if so what happened to that job?

Classic older episodes should be on bbc I player.

I watch on U Drama, something like that.
I'm up to 2009 😄

Think it happened when Lechy Lister had a crush on our Honey.

EastEnders legend quits job in early iPlayer release - and lands another already

A new beginning.

Springswallow · 04/02/2026 11:41

Was nige in the flash forward?? Can't remember
So I can't imagine that is the end of him
Although I'm surprised Phil left him in the bathroom alone
Hopefully Phil will rescue him in time ,but it will mean Julie starts on about a care home again.

Springswallow · 04/02/2026 11:43

Really not liking bea ..can't work out her purpose at all...
Maybe she doesn't have one ,maybe she just takes opportunity as it arises and that's how she goes through life .
I wonder if they bring in family for her ,maybe a difficult teenager or two

HighburyHope · 04/02/2026 12:30

Surely that’s the end for Nige? After a lovely heartwarming ceremony, slipping away gently, nobody needs worry about care homes any more?

Mark Jr will claim his empty room like a shot.

Shellingbynight · 04/02/2026 12:33

@Southeastdweller what you said isn't crass at all, he should not have been left alone in the bath. If the person is still able to wash themselves, you can preserve privacy but leave the door open and linger nearby.

I hope they aren't getting rid of Nigel that way, imagine the guilt Phil would feel. But they never deal with dementia realistically, no one wants to see the later stages.

I think Bea's only purpose is to cause trouble. She is a dreadful character. The best thing about last night's episode was Max eavesdropping!

Bit of a comedown from market inspector to shop girl! And Billy only has a stall on the market, how on earth do they make ends meet?
