Why on earth would Oscar contemplate leaving his family for a flaky on off girlfriend? There is no reason why or how he can afford a flight and a "beach hut" for 2?

I like new head Sam. The old one was a bit of a nightmare, but business woman slightly more sensible Sam is fine.

You mean the one played by Daniella Westbrook? If so then yes, she’s more of a convincing character but she always was to an extent because Kim Medcalf is the better actor.

@NowNumber5 however unlikely it is, Zoe will probably still give it a go😆

I agree @Southeastdweller I'm interested in the accent. He should definitely have an American accent but as the actor is an east ender presumably he'll sound like Phil.

The old ones on U and drama have old head Sam in it and she is very loud and a bit annoying ! She is currently in a story line with Janine and Archie , who really act her off the screen. Those two were toxic but good baddies

I don’t know why they brought back Daniella Westbrook back in 2009 and 2010 for two short periods - maybe Kim Medcalf wasn’t available.

Daniela must be overjoyed seeing her character brought back to life with a dramatic storyline like this 🤣🤣🤣

Oscar was brilliant today when he stood up to Jasmine in the beginning. Another good episode with lots happening and multiple interesting storylines.

do councillors generally turn up at people’s houses in person when there’s been complaints?

the only time I see my councillors is when there’s a local election.

I really hope not re Bea and Ollie, he really is a sweet kid

I can’t imagine counselors go to people’s homes unless there is a council election brewing! Our new lady councillor tends to go to meetings and has photos on Facebook of her with other people at the meet ups , but she’s never visited houses.
Mind you, our elections didn’t happen last year and there is a bit of controversy around a lot of this , plus a big merge with other councils which isn’t well received, so she probably tries to stay out of a lot of this. She is new to it all.
Anyway, E Laine goes up for election or something soon, probably her big feud with Ian will go up a few notches . I hope that Mark junior is good , we need some decent actors in it.

Stella did seem alright to start with. Not Phil’s type at all , but it worked until it didn’t .. poor Ben though.

Our councillors do pop round to ask if there's anything we'd like to raise, and are also on our street WhatsApp group. To be fair, they do put a shift in. They'd get my vote regardless of party. Occasionally shit actually gets done!

Too much Jasmine today, but at least it made Max do a bit more menacing whispering , which he is very good at. I hope J leaves soon, she’s doing my ‘ ead in. As they say !

I hope that Cindy ( who is looking great btw) saw what really happened there and Max isn’t accused of trying it on with Jasmine. She is a nasty piece of work. Lied to Kat as well about the police.

What is the councillor getting at with E laine? Is he suggesting a brothel set up ? I had forgotten about Ruby and setting him up over something, but it did work. seems he kept his job though

I thought it was just blackmail. Elaine lets him book rooms for cheap, and doesn't rat out his affair, and in exchange he doesn't reveal that her planning application was dodgy and rescind her permission to run the bnb.
