Also she comes across - deliberately - as much older than 60. Diane from an earlier series is early 60s but had a vibrant, energetic presence much more in keeping with most people in their early 60s.

This is it, she is giving nana moon from Eastenders!

TomHiddlestonBirthday · 08/01/2026 09:44

Diane was 63 when she filmed Traitors, but Fiona (at 62) is deffo giving off 'little old lady 101' vibes.

I can't decide whether Fiona or Rachel is the nastier piece of work. I'm rooting for the Faithfuls too.

Fiona, who was looking forward to the face to face murder. Even Rachel said that was cruel.

Hobnobswantshernameback · 08/01/2026 09:58

Fiona is hamming it up like Paul did in an earlier series
Its an act and that I can't get on board with
what is annoying is her portraying herself as a doddery old granny
She isn't even retired

Just a thought - it is possible that there are so many private conversations going on in there that Reece didn’t think it was weird when Rachel and Stephen asked him to leave them alone at the family tree.

I noticed when people enter a room they’ll ask the couple already talking on the sofa if it’s ok to join them, same as when a few people are chatting in the kitchen - maybe they are just cautious around each other. Reese thought it was no big deal that they wanted to discuss something in private? Or he’s just forgotten about it as so many things happen in one day.

I really dislike Rachel, she’s so humourless and will throw Stephen to the wolves first chance she gets. I really hope Fiona is clever enough to get her out, at the moment her heavy handed spreading of gossip could be too much.

I think Amanda will be suspicious of Fiona and then get Rachel on side who will be happy to assist.

Why is Amanda consistently targeting Jade? Starting to look weird.

It is strange that Amanda is always targeting Jade. I can't remember what if any justification she's given. All I recall is her saying that she doesn't change her mind which struck me as weakness.

LittleBitofBread · 08/01/2026 10:01

Ross talked himself into banishment. Should have kept his mouth shut and stopped harping on the fact that he and Netty know each other.
Having said that, I struggle to see why them knowing each other should mean he was a traitor. Apart from anything else, they seem to have known each other in a 'see you at a few parties' way rather than besties, and hadn't seen each other in about ten years before coning on the show Confused

I don't really care that he and Ellie are a couple. I don't think relationships in general add much to the show; maybe this is just me, but I can't imagine being all that upset if my friend or family member was 'murdered' on a TV game show, or talking about wanting to avenge their death etc.
If everyone turns out to be linked to another player in some way, that would be very contrived.

FIona is a bit obvious as the ST; I'm slightly disappointed. I think Rachel wants her gone asap, but Fiona knows that.
Not sure why F was so slow at the skulls challenge; it looked really suspicious. But Reece giving his away may have saved her neck on that count.

No one seems to have noticed Stephen saying 'last night' instead of 'today'. Except maybe Jessie. He looked guilty as sin at the round table though. Jessie needs to convince some people without making them think she's the traitor.

Can I nominate Maddy from Season 1 for the irritating list.

No one though is as annoying as Confidently Wrong Ross (season 2).

She over-egged that pudding so much it was ridiculous. I think she thought she was just playing the 'doddery old lady' role, but it was so over the top it was blindingly obvious she was being incompetent on purpose.

And why nobody thought "Ooh, X has been released, let's grab all those redundant skulls and re-use them" I don't know. They didn't work as a team and help each other enough once their own captive had been released.

Exactly! And then when Reese does try to increase the prize pot for ALL of them when he’s clearly not going to be saved - he’s under suspicion of being a traitor! They need more team work.

I found Paul annoying but he came across as a pantomime villain. For some reason Fiona just seems unpleasant and annoying - eg the comment about misleading traffic wardens. Hopefully they'll be on the lookout for her when she's out :)

threesocksmorgan · 08/01/2026 10:25

Fiona is annoying , she is only 62 for heavens sake. she was so awful in the skull task , makes her seem nasty.
not keen on any of the traitors. especially Steven.
Amanda is odd, why target Jade?

True but not as much as she thought she was. Jaz is the same in that he benefits from people remembering when he was right rather than the times he was wrong.

CharlotteRumpling · 08/01/2026 10:26

How has Reece forgotten about Rachel and Stephen asking him to get lost? 😀
Rookie move by Stephen including himself in the kill list.

She may have been annoying, but she was right!

But she was endearing and funny:) Charlotte from last year is one of the most impressive players we've seen. When she was in Uncloaked in the episode with Hugo she said how it was in the interests of the ST to use the same names insofar as possible on the murder shortlists to help protect their own identity. I was surprised when Hugo said that hadn't occurred to him. I guess it also shows how much easier it is to play this game from the comfort of your own couch :)

CharlotteRumpling · 08/01/2026 10:33

I loved fake Welshie Charlotte from last year.
I am always on the side of the Traitors. The more conniving they are, the better.

I usually want the traitors to win as well. Far more fun!

I liked Charlotte too. I have liked the seemingly unpopular contestants. I LOVED Wilf from series 1 he played properly and truly. And I hate the guy who ruined the gameplay for him and more so us the viewers!

ThatCyanCat · 08/01/2026 10:47

I usually side with the Faithful. They have a much harder job and all the disadvantage. They also aren't usually smug and self congratulatory as the Traitors often are (that annoys me; why do you think you're so clever, the game is set up to give you the advantage and it's only luck that you were chosen!). Traitors have so much advantage, they've got no excuse for not winning, so I never care if they get booted.

I mean, one of last year's winners was very smug and self congratulatory and only got there by shouting at everyone. Also so many Faithful won by just being sheep and taken to the end like one of the S1 winners who didn't cotton on to the end. Even at the end!
Are we allowed to discuss past seasons?

Rictasmorticia · 08/01/2026 11:02

Does Reece really not rember being thrown away from the family tree. I would murder him in case he suddenly acquired a brain.

Except Hugo is Welsh and has a different surname to Harriet’s maiden name (Nimmo Smith).
