Not sure what that means tbh 😅

Edited

Because it’s far more difficult to play when you’re in it then when you’re watching - hence clues that seem clearly obvious to the viewer get missed by the players

TheGreenBow · 07/01/2026 22:56

ThatBrickHiker · 07/01/2026 22:34

Plus Stephen is connected to someone I think. He did a very strange handshake with someone while smirking at them. Just looked suspicious

Ooh I missed that. I wonder if it’s all pairs or if some aren’t linked to anyone. E.g not sure who Rachel would be related to. Or Fiona.

Jessie and Jack now seem obviously linked in some way but it was also noticeable before tonight’s episode. Don’t think the pairs are doing that good a job of hiding it tbh but I guess we’ll soon see

Dippy.

I’m older than everyone else, I can’t run back and forth with skulls…

Edited

She over-egged that pudding so much it was ridiculous. I think she thought she was just playing the 'doddery old lady' role, but it was so over the top it was blindingly obvious she was being incompetent on purpose.

And why nobody thought "Ooh, X has been released, let's grab all those redundant skulls and re-use them" I don't know. They didn't work as a team and help each other enough once their own captive had been released.

Didn't know what an immutable law was, but have looked it up.

It's all rather Gandalf in Frodo's house!

We said exactly this!

Leanne was the most annoying player ever.

Is the axe man ed gamble?

We thought so!

MaggieFS · 07/01/2026 23:13

Och that weather was dreich for the mission. But it never seemed to be raining on Claudia. I assume a minion was holding a brolly up high out of shot over her?

Hooray. I feel like it’s finally properly started. Fiona was a bit obvious but I quite like the smacked arse effect it’s had on Rachel’s face. Unlucky for Ross but I’m glad it wasn’t Reece.

@CambridgeBellesaid it well, why didn’t anyone pull Stephen up on it when we self admitted he was the last to see the family tree. And then Reece could have had an open door to walk through mentioning Rachel and Stephen.

Reece got lucky. He comes across well in the diary room, I’m not sure why he didn’t choose to mention it when he was under fire at the RT, but perhaps it really was innocuous IRL and just glaring in the edit. I hope he’s not murdered because I really do want him to reveal that.

I’m going to revisit my earlier theory that Matt and Rachel are connected. I still think so.

Also for the die hard connection conspiracists, I confirmed to myself tonight that Amanda definitely has a northern pronunciation of some vowel sounds, so perhaps she hasn’t always been in Sussex and really could be Judy’s other half, or whatever else was doing the rounds. Sam’s mum? He doesn’t sound like he’s from North Yorkshire. Ooooh. Perhaps even Reece’s mum. They’ve had a few tete a tete moments and he’s allegedly from Sheffield but doesn’t sound I like it. She could have had a child/children before coming out.

Ahh, I’ve been making notes as I’ve been catching up on the posts - see I’m not the only one to mention Reece and Amanda.

I think it will be good fun to watch Rachel and Fiona battle it out. Perhaps they’ll get so blinkered they’ll forget to worry about everyone else…

I also noticed Ross’ fingers. Are they just really really long?

Ross has shown himself (in the edits we’ve seen) to be not the most articulate (or just flummoxed) and the way that RT question was portrayed to us did make it seem like Rachel was picking on someone with less mental and verbal agility rather than just playing the game. Overall I like the way Rachel is playing, but that made me uncomfortable and she seemed very smug and I can’t decide if it was just the edit, because of how well she got on in the game, or something more. Hard to separate the three options.

GargoylesofBeelzebub · 07/01/2026 23:15

Not my theory but it’s been mentioned on Twitter that perhaps Reece didn’t rat on Stephen or Rachel because he has a link to one of them?

RescueMeFromThisSilliness · 07/01/2026 23:15

The second I clocked that family tree in the frame, I thought to myself - Hmmm. And the thing is - not once did anyone speculate on why it was there in the first place. Which makes me think, why not? You wouldn't say anything if it was you in case you outed yourself by mistake, and since nobody has mentioned it, that does make me think there's quite a few connections. Or... they have mentioned it, and it's deliberately not been shown in the edit so as not to give the game away. Which means there are more of them still to go.

They showed that Who's Who book again tonight as well.

I'll stop rambling now.😁

timetogetlost · 07/01/2026 23:16

I'm wondering if Stephen, as a Cyber Security Consultant, has told people his job. He must be pretty clever and earn a pretty penny.

timetogetlost · 07/01/2026 23:17

That was why Reece, Rachel and Stephen were there. To work out what the family tree meant. And also Maz and Roxy.

Good call on the Who’s Who - it definitely gets more than its fair share of airtime.

It never stopped Judy thinking Roxy was a traitor, nor Ross thinking Ellie was one, nor did it stop Mira saying that she thought her own sister was a traitor.

RescueMeFromThisSilliness · 07/01/2026 23:24

timetogetlost · 07/01/2026 23:17

That was why Reece, Rachel and Stephen were there. To work out what the family tree meant. And also Maz and Roxy.

Someone (Rachel?) asked if anybody could read Latin so they could work out what the inscription said. They only time it was discussed by anybody at all was after we already knew it was going to be used in the Traitors challenge thing. Absolutely no-one had shown any prior interest in it.

AuntyAngela · 07/01/2026 23:26

I'm with several others about the connections thing. Found it tedious and unnecessary by series 2. What's the point of it? How did it make Ross a traitor knowing Nellie?

I'm also with the above poster who said they aren't enjoying it as much this year. Too many serious players - they need to have some fun!!! I think Rachel in particular is missing the ability to enjoy life.

Anyone have a clue what Fiona thought she'd achieved by not collecting skulls? She was very pleased with herself whatever it was!!

I want all the current traitors found by next week, and then the new.ones actually have fun with the role. (Though saying that, Fiona does seems to be enjoying it.)

Do you think they get hair and make up done each morning? Everyone seems so well put together.

I had thought it was possible James was the most annoying player - but the i saw Wilf was on Uncloaked as remember he wasn't, not by a long shot. Wilf was loathsome; followed by Paul.

IVotedForYourself · 07/01/2026 23:27

Just catching up.
Did anyone else think at this bit after Fiona was revealed as ST, when Rachel helped put the hood over her head, she would've happily smothered Fiona with it...

Ooh good shout I’ll add Matt and Rachel to my list!

You’re made me feel better about Fiona being the ST. I felt it was such a let down when people had been comparing handwriting and analysing lots of tiny details when the production had just given the most obvious clues for Fiona all along so it didn’t need any of that analysis. Anyway so you saying it was worth it being Fiona just to see Rachel’s face is absolutely true so I shall stop being annoyed by who the ST is now 🤣

Clafoutie · 07/01/2026 23:29

Figgygal · 07/01/2026 21:41

Also have disliked Rachel from her first to camera piece - maybe it's the accent

Why would it be the accent?!

I know i just said I find the connections tedious. But clearly my shared father theory is looking more likely. All will be revealed in the last episode. 🤣

CambridgeBelle · 07/01/2026 20:34

Omg! With Stephen trying to say Maz was the last one at the painting why did no one then think if Maz left with Roxy (who confirmed it) why did no one then work out Stephen was the last one at the painting just before the bells went? Almost by his own admission?

I thought that too!
AND he fucked up at the round table saying "last night" then corrected himself to this morning. Omg they need to pick up the clues

fairydust11 · 07/01/2026 23:41

Just caught up, Fiona is playing a good game, but it seems the distrust between the 3 traitors & in particular her & Rachel might be both of their downfall.

It’s a shame, but I’m not surprised Ross has been banished - he acted more guilty than the traitors, but I sensed he knew Ellie a few episodes back & maybe the Nettie thing put him on a back foot from the start.

I think the theory Reece might know Rachel or Stephen does make sense as it was highly surprising that when under so much pressure at the round table he didn’t mention it to deflect.

I also agree there are more connections in there, I think Amanda might be connected to Stephen &/or Matthew, I noticed there was a slight look of emotion between Amanda & Matthew when Stephens name cropped up.

WriterOfWrongs · 07/01/2026 23:41

The Who’s Who could be a nod to some of them having eminent or secret careers that they’re hiding, eg Harriet. Amanda is also hiding her profession, and we now know Maz is as well.

WarrenTofficier · 07/01/2026 23:42

AuntyAngela · 07/01/2026 23:30

I know i just said I find the connections tedious. But clearly my shared father theory is looking more likely. All will be revealed in the last episode. 🤣

I'll give you my theory - they are all identical twins and this has always been the case in previous series too. They have to swap in/out of the castle with their twin every day. This is why it often appears that they have had their minds wiped over night and drop theories that were gaining traction the day before because its actually a completely different set of players the next day.

Pinkbox · 07/01/2026 23:43

I agree with the two PPs who said they are rooting for the faithful for the first time ever, me too! Usually I find someone I like in the turret and want to see them do well and outwit the group but this time I haven’t liked any of them. Stephen is rubbish, Rachel is mean, Fiona is a self-confessed liar and Hugo didn’t come over well in the tower (although I did feel for him at the round table when he seemed to get a bit emotional).

On the flip side, I like Jessie, Reece, Amanda and Maz so am happy to support the faithfuls this time round.

One thing which is annoying is the paint-by -numbers editing we seem to be getting. Every time the camera was on Ross this episode it then went directly to Ellie. It’s not subtle. Neither was Fiona being the ST. I’ve seen all the series so far and this feels like the clunkiest.
