The first series of nail-biting thriller Red Eye - back in April
2024 - unfolded on an all-night flight from London to Beijing, as Detective Hana Li (Jing Lusi frantically tried to solve the mystery of passengers suddenly dying during the journey.

Now, as the second series begins, Hana's feet are firmly on the groun - but once again she finds herself thrust into a highly precarious situation.

After a diplomatic courier from the
USA is murdered at Heathrow Airport, Hana investigation leads her to bUS Embassy, where ambassador is hosting a party

There, an intruder shuts down the security system and begins killing people

This means Hana has to team up with a head of security clay played by MARTIN C with whom she shared the complicated past

They were partnered together a police training college, but Brody suddenly left without any explanation and now they’re working together

Only done one episode so not read all the comments but does Lesley Sharp's acting get any better? I could have done a more convincing job myself reading her lines off a bit of paper.

I think she's fine, and it's been great so far, a step up from S1. I wonder how much fuel the plane has got.

Another good episode. I can’t work out Martin Compton’s accent though. Is it supposed to be his Scottish accent or an American accent? Sometimes it sounded like he went back into the accent he did on LoD

He is Scottish so his natural accent

I don't think Martin Compton is that great an actor; he's always the same, and his accent certainly wanders.

Why didn't they chuck the. Riefcase with the bomb out of the plane? Surely in could have been dropped through the landing gear or someth8ng, into the Atlantic (knows nothing about planes).

I was a bit surprised that superspy Ruth didn't notice that massive black 4x4 that followed them all the way from the pub. And for a simple family revernge, Charles has gone to extraordinary lengths, and had some very specialised and expensive help, surely? So even if the Russians aren't directly involved, there's surely some bigger power play here than a denied funeral?

I’m guessing BSC Bank is a big clue because Brody deleted the email about the deposit?

The reviewer isn't too sharp if he still can't figire out why the killer didn't shoot Hana in the lift. Hana actually said so herself!
