Josh doesn’t have a disability. He is a quick witted comedian use to live TV who loves Strictly - he also has a successful podcast - parenting hell - that appeals to a large demographic.

Personally I’m a Josh W fan - I love Parenting Hell, it was the first podcast I subscribed to!

Edited to add that today’s Parenting Hell is titled “We’re sticking strictly to business”

A few weeks ago the episode that came out the same week Rob was announced as going into Celeb Traitors was called “Faithful or Traitor?”, though they made no comment about it as it was a prerecord.

For the record, I don't dislike Josh Widdecombe outside of The Last Leg. I think he's perfectly ok on chat shows etc. and I will certainly give him a chance. But I still think he's a terrible choice for Strictly.

They've officially announced it - Emma, Jojo and Josh.

Could have been a lot worse imo. Will be interesting to see how they do.

Why not Zoe?

I wanted Zoe! 😭😭

Nothing against Emma (I love her too) or Josh (I can take or leave him) but Zoe would have been perfect for this.

Not sure about Josh but I like Emma. Sad to see JoJo not dancing though.

Happy about Emma Willis. Like both Josh and Jojo but other than the last leg I haven’t really seen Josh present as such. So not sure how he will come across. With Jojo I am happy and the show could do with a dancer to comment on more technical but perhaps.

also Josh is going to be shattered. Last leg is a live at 10pm show on a Friday. Past Midnight bedtime for full day of rehearsals and show on the Saturday.

Don't watch for the presenters anyway so hopefully they will be a nice surprise.

I think they will be good. I like Emma, a bit like Tess, but less wooden. Obviously love Johannes, and an actual dancer will be good for a bit of post dance critique.
Josh is good on the panel show stuff I have seen him on but that's all I know him from.
All in all it's a yes from me.

Love Emma, like josh but not sure he is strictly enough, and jo jo is a no for me....

I am quite happy with the new lineup. Sad that Johannes is not going to be dancing though.

I am thinking Emma will do the Tess part which I think she will be good at and Josh the Claudia part which I also think he will likely be good at. I could be totally wrong though.

I would have like Zoe doing it but I do wonder if her health/sick time off made the BBC decide not to risk it

I read that Emma is doing the Tess role, Josh in the Clauditorium and Jojo doing a sort of backstage roving reporter sort of thing. No idea if that’s true though.

His voice is really annoying. I havent watched The Last Leg in ages. But just how he casually sat with his leg under annoyed me.

I never watched, but the very 1st IT Takes Two had a male comedian... Justin? Anyway I preferred him on other shows compared to Josh.

Regarding Emma Willis. I watched her for years on Big Brother all the shows.
I still think that was her peak.
I think she might be better backstage.

Love Emma and hoped she'd get it.
Neutral on the lovely Jojo but only because I've not seen him present before.
But Josh Widdicombe... I listened to him at the weekend to see if I could grow to live him but turned off. He's just so smug.

Im also disappointed that there's now more men than women.

I guess we have to trust that the producers know what theyre doing.

Let’s give them a chance ey! We’ve not seen them work together before and I’m sure they’ve had lots of chemistry tests etc to make sure they work.
it won’t be the same and Tess and Claud, but maybe a fresh take will be a good thing 😊

As far as casting who could be the most irritating. Then yes Josh wins that.

Josh just seems so random. It's the most bizarre choice and I just can't see how there's any affinity between him and the role.

Emma W is bland. Even Tess is more interesting.
I'm also sad to see Johannes not dancing, although he'll be good for the pre- and post-dance critique and is warm and empathetic.

Does Josh have any Strictly experience? I don't remember him being a celebrity contestant.
