Dancing With The Stars IS the Strictly franchise it just got renamed because Come Dancing had no relevance in other countries. They have replaced the host at least twice in the US

Josh Widdicombes' name is being shared a bit. I think he would do very well. He was on the Christmas show so not a total newbie to the show, plus he's starting to make an impact on Radio 2, covering for Romesh, and getting his own running stuff on BBC Sounds.

I would be ecstatic with La Voix in any capacity, even if it’s ITT however that ends up.

I'm not so keen on it being Rylan, I don't think he's a real Strictly fan, like Zoe, I think its just a job to him. When he did ITT he never talked about Strictly on his Saturday radio show, whereas Zoe was always going on about watching it, on her radio show.

I agree about Rylan, he always gives me a slightly bored vibe.

I do like him somehow though, but even on his Grand Tour programmes he had that vibe sometimes.

So the BBC are reporting it’s not Zoe. So The Sun do seem to know what they are talking about. I’m surprised she was allowed to announce that tbh.

Oh I never knew! For some reason I’ve always classed it as a bit lesser than Strictly for some reason - which is completely unfounded I know lol

That was weird Amanda and Alan said in an interview they’d turned it down and Richard Osman said on TRIE “no they didn’t, I guarantee they weren’t asked” whole thing was odd.

Johannes is another no from me - I like him dancing with a partner but otherwise he makes it all about himself!

Can't stand Emma, so bland on the voice back when I used to watch it.
Rylan I do like but never watched him present anything..
LV made me laugh when he(its a man so not saying she blah blah)was on strictly so would be happy for this to happen (doubt it though)

I would be very surprised if they picked someone with no presenting experience (like Johannes). It’s a primetime live show so they need safe hands.

My instinct about Johannes (who I have loved as a dancer, particularly with Annabel) is the same as PPs’.

However, I suppose that if he’s been selected he must’ve nailed the auditions and chemistry tests in order to beat experienced individuals such as Zoe, Rylan and Alex.

thats what I thought too. No way are they handing this gig to someone who can’t handle it… maybe Johannes is a natural? For instance, Rylan was a bit of a plum on the X Factor, but look at him now. Like him or not (I do) he’s turned out to be pretty good at the roles he’s fallen into since those days.

But haven’t they already announced that Johannes is part of this years Professional Cohort? There was a video
