Christmas Special:

The Caribbean-set crime drama returns with an office Christmas party taking a sinister turn, when four co-workers wake up to find a stranger dead in the pool of their villa.

DI Mervin Wilson (Don Gilet) and the team identify the murder weapon, but are left baffled when they find it was locked in a drawer when the murder took place - thousands of miles away in Swindon.

Meanwhile, Mervin anxiously waits to hear back from his newly discovered brother, hampering his efforts to get into Saint Marie's Christmas celebrations.

With guest appearances from Josie Lawrence, Kate Ashfield and Pearl Mackie.

I agree. Naomi in particular always looks judgey. That's her main role.

He got murdered before the opening credits on his first day - IIRC he was called Benjamin

I used to not always like the way the superintendent was so rude to Neville for example

There was Marlon in between JP and the quickly murdered guy.

Marlon, that's who I was thinking of. He could have developed further, maybe the actor didn't want to continue.

I liked Marlon he was in the show for 4 years - although like Darlene he had a very rapid rise through the ranks from a criminal on some sort of youth diversion scheme to police officer within a year.
