I found it a very strange choice to show Aaron being so controlling right after Robert accused Kev of the same thing and Robert apologising when he should be able to invite whoever he wants into his home.

I think Lewis will save Kev from misery. Kev won't give a shit about Robert this time next week as he'll have something in his life more important.
