I don't remember it being so edgy.

I'm a couple of series in, but it has covered underage pregnancy, kidnapping, miscarriage, industrial espionage, runaways, nude photography, abortion, death threats, stalking, age difference relationships, drink driving, death and the afterlife so far.

That's only the topics I remember. Did it just go over my head at a young age, or did soaps get less hard hitting as time went on?

Wasn't one of the first female characters a stripper?

Daphne was the stripper at Des’s stag do.

I loved early Neighbours.

I watched it when it started I was 8?!!I don’t remember any of that so it must have gone over my head.
I do remember Lou being in a relationship with analiese who was significantly younger than him and his family/friends discover she’s 17 and try to find him before they have sex.
