They did do the results on Saturday night for a while, didn’t they? There was the live show, the news, and maybe another programme, then the results. In a way I preferred it, but it meant you were hanging about waiting for it. I guess it meant kids/anyone else with an earlier bedtime couldn’t watch, which was maybe one reason for them changing it back.

The results was a 15 minute show for many years. It expanded when X Factor started doing a Sunday show, there was a rivalry for a while

I remember watching strictly whilst getting ready to go out...then later being at the bar and seeing the results on the pub TV, ah the good ole days

Definitely, I get the point about viewers going to bed early, but they could watch it on iplayer first thing on Sunday these days.

Perhaps they could show some retro episodes on a Sunday night instead, starting with Natasha K’s series. Classic Corrie/Emmerdale etc are popular currently. I can see Classic SCD being popular too.

I loved that piece with Flavia and Vicente! Made me nostalgic for the real pro demo dances that they used to do. Their post-SCD career was interesting - 9 years of shows, but then Vicente saying that they hadn't seen each other for a little while.

Flavia and Vincent parted ways both personally and professionaly after S5. Flavia got together with her dance partner Matt di Angelo, and she ended things with Vincent as a result. (Flavia and Matt always said they got together after the show, but it's highly likely it started during the show as their chemistry was extremely evident).

I imagine the Strictly producers were a bit nervous over their appearance on ITT, though it seems like they've both put it well behind them.

I was a huge fan of theirs and wanted them to win. Especially loved their Salsa and Showdance.

Who, Matt d Angelo? He forgot his dance one week and spent the second half sitting on the steps.
I thought he was a wet lettuce. Really disliked him.
I used to love Flavia and Vincent's demo ATs though.

Yeah, I did. Younger me thought he was adorable, and I think he really improved from that Salsa onward. I loved Alesha as well and knew she would win. We can't all like the same people.

Yes. She and Matt only lasted three years. Jimi was also her celeb partner on Strictly.

They have sold there farm now and rehomed the animals. Was watching an instagram story.

I don't think the producers can't have been that nervous since F&V literally said on the chat that they did theatre shows together for 9 years after Strictly, so however their personal relationship ended, they were clearly able to distinguish their professional relationship and find a way to make that work.
