Would you watch Trying (tv show) if TTC or struggling to TTC?

It’s been recommended to me as a lovely thing to watch, but I don’t know if it might be too triggering

If anyone has watched it in a similar situation… How did you find it?

I'd probably avoid tbh
It's one of the best TV programmes created in recent years, funny, sweet and ultimately uplifting (it's now several series in on appletv) but I'm avoiding rewatching it because of fertility issues

I was not a fan

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/11/2025 22:19

I loved this and tho I now have mini blondes (8) I ttc for 10yrs and had countless ivf failed cycles

it’s more about them and their relationship and adoption then ttc

def wouldn’t have triggered me if I watched it 10yrs ago before I was preg

I agree with Blondes. We struggled with ttc and had numerous IVF failures and I would have found this programme absolutely fine to watch during that time.

Thank you for your replies. I should’ve actually spent a bit more time on my message saying it had been recommended for my daughter to watch. I started watching it this week.
I had multiple miscarriages and could relate to the obsession with wanting a baby, but my daughter and husband are facing the fact that they may not be able to conceive. I didn’t want to recommend it to her if it would be too painful.
