We went to a family wedding in Blackpool in about 2011, the bride’s family owned a hotel so we all stayed there, though the wedding itself was at another venue. The family hotel was one set up for stag/hen dos - looked like it hadn’t been redecorated since 1976, tiles coming off the walls in the bathroom, next to no water pressure, some guests had to use a communal bathroom. NEVER AGAIN!

I've only been to Blackpool once where I met a friend of mine who's a senior police officer. She spent the whole trip pointing out murder scenes she'd attended, where burglaries had occurred, where mugging had happened. Sort of coloured my view of Blackpool ...
