Anyone watching? I couldn’t see another thread - apols if I missed one. As usual, I haven’t heard of several of the 'celebs'.

I prefer the non-celebrity halves of the couples - Anita's dad is nice but she's too full on and annoying.

Dylan is wet and a bit weird but his mum is lovely.

Harleymoon much more switched on than Roman.

I agree. I’d like to switch all the couples up other than Tyler and Molly:

Anita’s dad (Bal?) with Harleymoon
Anita and Dylan’s mum (Jackie?)
Roman and Dylan

Molly and Tyler are really lovely, I did feel for them being ill. I'm not keen on the back stories - that approach spoiled the non celebrity version for me, last time.
Really interesting scenery and locations, though.

I said from the start that im not really engrossed in this.
The "celebs" are all a bit bland.
Although Dylan and Jackie do come across wet I think they are funny and have had the best moments as yet-going to ask at the hospital for a bed and running into the wrong checkpoint.
I dont get the best vibes from Tyler actually 😕

Tyler is from where we live and his brother was DD and DS old stagecoach teacher (he now runs a cookie business) and his brother was lovely both my children’s favourite stagecoach teacher (and the cookies are very nice as well he brought them in for free) and the way he talked about his brother (he was on strictly when still their teacher) was lovely

Why don’t they show us how much they are paying for food and what they are eating? Breakfast etc

They do occasionally - I think I saw something about Tyler & Molly’s food somewhere, but think that was when they were both talking about how much they liked food.

We don’t tend to see accommodation costs either, which I’m sure we did in some of the earlier seasons

We did see the price of Molly and Tyler's 'sex hotel' - so much for the first few hours and a price by the hour thereafter. But yes, it would be nice to see more of the prices and the food. They all seem to have a healthy amount left in their budget. How many episodes still to go?

They’re at the half way mark. But someone said hot bread that Costa rice is pricey. So should have enough of they don’t go bonkers and get cab’s everywhere or spend the night in the local four seasons.

they do sometimes show the percentage shown for food. But probably no realistic for every snack and also some meals are in return for a job. Remember when those lads almost blew half their budget on a slice of Kobe beef then the owner gave it to them for free.

Anita’s manicure looks immaculate so either she’s paid to get that done, or she’s carrying her own kit to DIY 🤔

It's not so much the price of food I'm interested in so much as what they're eating. It's a part of the world I know nothing about.

Yes, I agree, I think that would be interesting. On previous series they've shown what's been spent on food and if they've had to share a bread roll or splurge on a proper meal. Same with the accommodation.

I’m really enjoying this series. There seems far more emphasis on logistics of travel than in the last civilian series where they totally overdid the back stories to the detriment of all else. And I like all 4 pairs - am rooting for them all

I’ve always liked Roman. He did a show once around his mental health and he seemed really genuine. His mum was quite pragmatic about it all , they do seem a nice family, but he has a lot of self esteem issues I think.
I like all of them on this, Dylan was really good on ‘ big boys’ , even if it tackled some very difficult issues and problems.

i can understand Roman's feelings, he is young, used to having information available, on a race without internet, and being filmed. seems stressful

I went to language school on the islands they just showed, it was a really fun place to be.
