Ash turned out to be a creep. Ixperts are in disbelief.

I haven't seen the Grace/Ash/toilet saga episode yet but I wonder if the general pro-Ash anti-Grace angle wasn't solely due to editing but maybe a lot of the incidents happened when the cameras weren't there? And does that suggest something about Ash's behaviour?

There was one incident (the "Grace was being a dick" comment) that looked like it had been included in the edit purely to illustrate Grace's discussion of it afterwards (I don't remember it being included in the main segment, just as a behind-the-scenes type flashback because it was captured on camera at the time).

Grace's complaints about other behaviours were unsubstantiated in the absence of film footage (whether through editing or the incidents not happening on camera), which explains why some people were quick to assume she was being over-sensitive. But in light of the toilet saga (caveat: I haven't seen it yet) does that suggest that Ash reins in his behaviour when other people are present and that's why so many incidents weren't broadcast - because they didn't happen during filming, rather than being edited out?

Yes, he has manipulated the narrative in quite a few ways. It's textbook manipulation - gaslight, charm, divide from friends with narrative they are mentally challenged in some way - the whole "everyone else knows who I am and loves me!" was creepily similar to a friend's ex husband who actually was so abusive he put a subsequent girlfriend in hospital. Pillar of society etc etc.

I think Grace has posted now saying that the producers brought her back to “tell her story” and then sanitised it. So there must have been so much more that wasn’t shown?

I hope the unsanitised version becomes available.

My thoughts on who’s been shagging on the sly:

Ratboy and JR - what we’re being led to think is most likely

Ratboy and April - partner swap “week”

Ratboy and some random

April and Ashley in Ashley’s extra room after partner swap

Prison Joe and JR - going on for a while, and her Ratboy fangirl behaviour was just a smokescreen

Prison Joe and Sarah the tattoo fetishist

But it could be a total curveball. Leah and Reece?

It’s most likely to be two people who have already left, eg JR and Joe.

Reporting for duty. Will I ever get to see an episode while it’s on again?

Me too, why has this happened.
I think it was a glitch. Fingers crossed 🤞.

I've taken a few days off this and watched Season 1-7 of Homeland (utterly addictive) so am now frantically trying to catch up!

See that annoys me a bit, if there's more to the story then post it... don't just say, oh it was much worse than that and they edited it. She has a platform to tell her story so tell it. Also if he was so terrible why was she so conflicted about staying or leaving? I'm not defending his actions (as he's clearly turned out to be a dick) just confused as to why she wasn't just like 'fuck this, I'm out of here'. I mean they're not even actually married. Why would you put up with this kind of behaviour?

Phelicity · 08/11/2025 10:02

Re Grace and Ash, I think it’s easy to see which one of them is manipulating public opinion, and when given the chance she, Grace, really goes to town on Ash, who doesn’t behave in the same way.

WineBeforeWhine · 08/11/2025 11:06

Agree, personally I find her mad as a hatter.

EveryMeandEveryYou · 08/11/2025 12:42

Manipulating public opinion is all Ash has done from the start. Lying to the experts on the couch on day 1 was the start of it.

All that you two seem to have absorbed is woman crying = annoying. If even after hearing he picks toilet door locks you think she is the issue you really need to have a word with yourselves. That is not normal.

Villagetoraiseachild · 08/11/2025 12:48

Had to come on here to see what the response was to the revelation of Ash and his lock picking space invading. Fully agree to sinister and creepy. I really hope he learns something from this.

ColdTofuSandwich · 08/11/2025 12:57

If Ash is so marvellous why doesn’t he have a partner and why wasn’t the mother of his small child hanging on to him?

EachandEveryone · 08/11/2025 13:57

Is Grace really a practicing midwife. I can’t imagine my trust allowing her to carry on like this or even to have gone on the show in the first place

CatAsstrophe · 08/11/2025 14:25

I'm pleased to see that Ash has been 'exposed'. I've had off vibes about him for a while. I wonder why Grace went on the programme in the first place as she's not reality TV fodder. Is the search for love really that desperate?

Mymaloy · 08/11/2025 14:58

Grace does seems to be embracing her new found fame with lots of Instagram videos etc. I think she is quite different to the person we were shown by the editers

I’ve seen things on social media (which I won’t repeat here), that paint that story of Ash ‘picking the lock’ in a very different context.

Which is why I’m not so quick to just believe the edit of the discussion with the ixperts, that the production team put out.

So I will continue to reserve judgment for now.

More weird is why Ash would go on, with a tiny baby at home and do so many weird things including picking the lock of his new wife on a national TV show. Grace just wanted to be married and said she didn't have time to date with her work. He seemed to want a barbie he would be able to abuse and use as a baby mummy.

I'm going to take a wild guess he is spreading rumours he went in to save her?
He admitted he did it and thought it was funny. He admitted he had done it to all of his exes and they had (apparently) all found it funny. He wasn't on any kind of rescue mission and it clearly wasn't just once.
