I can’t warm to Amber, she’s technically amazing but she just doesn’t give out anything.

Its odd, when I was a child churchgoers and non all celebrated Halloween. My guide pack was attached to a Methodist church (quite strongly so), I was at a RC school, had friends at CoE schools - all had Halloween parties, discos, costumes etc and nobody batted an eyelid. (of course being RC we also had All Souls and All Saint extra church stuff but no issue with Halloween).

To me, replacing Halloween parties with “rainbow parties” and not marking Halloween is a modern thing which I associate with more US style evangelism.

I went to a Christian youth club and we had a light party and we had to wear bright colours and glitter. I wore a top which looked like a firework. Instead of a Halloween party
