I would say childlike more than childish - he has really brought his energy down a notch this series to be a calm and steady partner for Ellie while still being an enthusiastic teacher.

I wanted Ellie to make it to Blackpool because she would have loved that, but whatever.

It was Michelle.

I also found myself with unexpected tears just then and I never cry at TV, films, etc. There was just something so lovely about seeing someone being so caring and kind, whilst not being at all patronising. Well done, Vito.

Can we, whilst praising Vito, send some praise Ellie’s way as well? It Takes Two after all

I think Vito and Ellie have brought something very special to this Strictly.

Eliie and Vito worked wonderfully together. They did each other proud.

@PoppysAunt yes but the praise has skewed toward just Vito for “how well he’s done” and I don’t like the implication, it’s like he was burdened or drew a short straw somehow…

Ellie has been wonderful this series and an inspiration for people everywhere, particularly those with Downs Syndrome. It meant a lot.

@derxa Bal’s been consistently under appreciated by judges and the public. She’s much better than those sat alongside her on the leaderboard and in the dance offs.

Right. Maybe I didn't see those posts, although to be fair, he did a tremendous job, as he always does.

Poor Bal , she laughed when her name was said. I always thought east Enders actors got lots of votes

She obviously doesn't have the fan base of George.

I agree with pp - what I really liked about the Ellie/Vito pairing was a sheer joy of it. Some of the much more technically skilled pairings struggle to show the joy in the dancing, even when doing upbeat numbers (I supposed I’m thinking of Amber to some extent but Ellie has been exceptionally joyful throughout).

I’m sensitive in this area @PoppysAunti’ve got skin in the game!

I don't love Bal but I don't think she's deserved to be in the DO 3 times. It must be very disheartening.

Ellie and Vito brought something very special. More of this in the world. We need much more.

I think he allowed Ellie to show us what she could do, in ways not every professional dance teacher would have managed. Some of the pros bring out the best in their partners, others don’t. Vito did a particularly sensitive job, imo.

Oh, of course. Ellie has done amazingly well. But it was specifically the kindness and care from Vito that was so noticeable then.

That's fine! I'm not having a go at you, but genuinely I've always praised Ellie and loved her joy of dancing. Every week she's made me smile! I think her and Vito have brought something very special to this Strictly.
