I thought I’d lost you all again - my attention drifted during glassgate and it's already Thursday. I’m avoiding all the big social media outlets for fear of spoilers.
In terms of entertainment value for the series Alan really deserves to win. I think all three traitors played a blinder and I was a fan of Cat before the show.
I’d love to see Nick win, in his quiet way he must have the best individual performance adding money to the prize pot and has made a lot of the spots which louder players have then claimed. In and ideal world I’d like Nick and Cat to win jointly but that isn’t possible.
I agree with others than someone will clock Cat as the only woman left and she will go, rapidly followed by Alan who must be on borrowed time. I’m really looking forward to Uncloaked.
I’d also like to know the charities and I’m hoping they are smaller individual charities rather than the enormous CiN bucket. The 40k fee is probably the “charity fee” for the bigger names on the show who could command much more for a two week stint. However I also think that spending 760k on fees, the prize pot ought to have been bigger.
The faithfuls have been shockingly bad this series and I wonder if its actually a disadvantage to know a bit about your fellows before the series. Even where the celebs don’t have personal connections they all have an “image” to work with which might make the traditional “stab anyone in the back” approach more difficult. In the regular series they are all strangers (bar the odd son) so have nothing but the in game behaviours and their own prejudices to affect judgement. I did love the way Leanne played on common assumptions to make her way to the end, no celeb would have been able to do that.
