I agree merging Musicals and Movies into one, get rid of icons, and modify costumes for Halloween week.

Icons is just a ridiculous concept, I know they are trying to shake up the show, but some ideas are best left alone.

Agree also with merging Movies and Musicals, just daft and pointless having two separate yet similar categories.

Ummm so having inadvertently started a “theme weeks should all be merged into one” conversation, can anyone tell me when musicals week is? 🤣

The problem is there is a limited pool of actually Halloween themed music and it has all been done to death. There is/was a poster who suggested they do a 5th November theme instead one year and had an excellent Firework themed playlist of suggestions complete with the appropriate dance styles.

Didn't Hannah Waddingham present when we hosted Eurovision in Liverpool a couple of years ago? Logistically it must be a similar style of presenting.

I love Hannah Waddington but I think she has too much else available and Strictly is past its major prestige point. Would she want to devote a sizeable chunk of the year to Strictly? I’m not sure how similar Eurovision presenting is - there is a much bigger team and the load is shared but yes, a big live job to handle.

I would like it to stay a women presenting team but I think Willoughby would irritate the hell out of me.

Some odd music choices, I really hope they don’t put Alex in one of their hideous Halloween costumes. Its high time they retired Halloween week, reduced the number of “theme” weeks and rotated them.

That paso to the 5th could be very stompy. Red Right Hand could be very good for the AT.

Now there's a bright idea. Have a fireworks special as a one off instead of Halloween. Everybody gets dressed extra sparkly and glittery.

There are so many songs with "fire" in that would work, and anything else to do with shining, sparkling etc

A Bonfire Night/Fireworks night theme would be great. Bet they would make Craig be the Guy on top of the CGI bonfire.

Red Right Hand was the music for Joe Suggs and Diane’s AT a few years ago. I thought it worked really well and I loved the dance. Wish I could post a link on video thread, but I’m not great with that stuff.

I don't actually follow her, but another Strictly pro I follow commented on her post, which made it visible in my timeline.

I would think she likes all of her dances with Joe :) But this is a screenshot of her post (the picture was actually a video of some of their dance).

My mind is boggling at the thought of a CC to 'Creep'.

I had completely forgotten this dance. It really is a good tune for the AT if you are going to deviate from “proper” tango music.

Holly has the aura to be a good replacement imo.
