I don’t either, she knows from hosting DOI how a regular weekend show eats into your home life. Her children are still at home and her husband is mega successful, they don’t need the income or stress that comes with the job.

That sounds a bit gossipy spending probably picked up from comments or threads and grown arms and legs.

I just thought it was because CW had a lot of other offers which wouldn't dovetail with SCD and TD just took the opportunity to end her tenure as well.

Arlene Phillips was on loose women yesterday and was saying she would love Hannah Waddingham !

I'd welcome Holly. Absolute no for me to Zoe Ball, Alison Hammond, Fleur East and Roman Kemp. All names I've heard floated. I wouldn't mind Dermot O'Leary or Rylan. Maybe a man and a woman this time around.

Not Dermot O’Leary. I remember him on X Factor at a point where the early stages were especially mocking and cruel towards some quite vulnerable people; he could be pretty nasty while pretending to be sympathetic to the contestants who’d obviously been chosen for ridicule.

I agree. I think that Claudia was ready to leave due to her stock rising high, and she’s on record explaining that she and Tess always said that they’d depart at the same time. It seemed simple enough to me. They probably planned to announce it a few days after the final, in order not to take the gloss off the success of the winner and the runners-up.

I agree. Claudia going upwards and Tess has had enough after 20 odd years.

Don't get CW's popularity at all

He was saying he really loves the cha cha. What’s the best cha cha he’s ever done? I would like to watch it.

I don't know. He's had some good dances. Probably,and most notably with Layton.

He is quite moody anyway i don't think he knows how to be humble yet. I do like Nakitta but he is very "passionate " and I think a bit of a diva.

I think Nikita is very high energy and passionate, and he works best when he has someone to match his levels (Layton and his good friend Vito, especially). Amber, though high strung in a perfectionist way, doesn't really mirror Nikita's manic energy. That's how I see it anyway. I've never really gotten a diva vibe from him, though he is extremely confident about his talent and looks.

I saw Nikita & Layton's show, and I also saw Nikita's solo show. He was higher energy in the talking bits in the Layton show, but he was still full of passion in the talking moments for his own. He interacted very well with the audiences and other dancers. He was grateful and gracious.

I think Amber must be testing Nikita’s patience (and I’m a fan of both of them).

Nikita is very sensuous. Amber is much more restrained emotionally and is accomplished technically but doesn’t really come alive.

My thoughts so far on Halloween week songs and dances:

I shudder at the thought of Alex being forced in a devil catsuit costume salsa-ing to "Horny! Horny! Horny!" I hope she's not been stitched up as dance off fodder.

Stay is one of my favourite songs of all time. I hope they don't murder the song, and I would love Balvinder to do a lyrica rumba to it, but it is often a dance that Shirley slaughters female contestants for.

The snippet of Karen doing the patada? spinny kick thing for the AT looks good already, so I am looking forward to her performance. She will look stunning as a Ada Shelby in a flapper dress.

I'm disappointed with Lewis not getting a Latin, but a couple's choice instead. How is that going to work with Creep? Will it be a wafty number?

I think 5th Symphony is a bit too stoppy and starty for a paso, but we shall see.

I don't recognise most of the other songs apart from Total Eclipse.
