Harlen Coben's Lazarus on Netflix including spoilers

I always find that Harlan Cobens Netflix shows tick the box on paper but just don't deliver. Like expecting a BBC drama and getting a channel 5 drama. I committed so felt I had to see it through. Also, why does everyone always live in huge posh houses?! It's like it doesn't know if it wants to be British or American if that makes sense. I haven't read any of the books so not sure if they're close to the tv series and give more depth so that it doesn't feel as rushed.
All in all, I thought it was clunky and disappointing with a stupid twist at the end.

We finished it last night, and we’re underwhelmed. The first two episodes were rather disjoined and difficult to grasp, the middle two got better, but then it became so convoluted and lacked credibility. Didn't buy the reasoning of Bill Nighy and the detective committing the murders. The histrionics of the main character was tedious, the incident with the bus turned my stomach, and the final scene twist was pointless.
you know when you get invested in watching something and want to know how it turns out? sometimes it's not worth knowing.

Agreed @FizzingAda I'm disappointed that I continued with it. There are a few shows that I have started recently, realised they're rubbish and quit halfway through. Should have done that with this one. I'll just not bother with the next Harlan Coben Netflix drama, whenever that may be!

I think HC shows are utterly shite. I never bother with them.

I agree. Why did the main character who is obviously educated and works with criminals have no concept of how the legal system works ? Why didnt he just take the stuff to the police from get go.
But then maybe given with him listening to the tapes but hallucinating that they are real then he had lost all sense of what he should do in those situations.
The ending was so predictable.
