The problem with themes is that the dance doesn’t go with the music George’s dance being a prime example and I can understand that Karen was trying to do AT but with Usher vibes which failed miserably

Usher has better songs to do an AT to. Burn or Caught up would have been better

Haha brilliant. DH never pays attention while Strictly is on and even he said “ oh it’s the professional Geordie woman now” 😆

@lettingthedaysgoby Girls Aloud was created on Popstars Rivals in 2002, twenty three years ago. Let the woman have the grace of being allowed to age a little purlease! Bet you don’t look the same as you did in 2002 either 😄

Lewis was very good. Vicky was over marked, it was bleh to me. Dont like Amber (but love Nikita, he is becoming the Pro for the Highly Strung Artiste isn’t he after handling Layton)
Alex was effortless but just a tiny tad dull (and awful dress), liked Harry’s and Jimmy’s more than I expected and both Pro Karen and Lauren are gorgeous and amazing dancers.
Kaz under marked again and death slot! Ellie was better, more control and better footwork.
Not sure Julian should have been given a partner first year, am not convinced on his teaching and choreo now.
La Voix getting annoying - I was laughing at Aljaz pretending to throw himself off the balcony in the Clauditorium when La V was asking Claudia about the job.
Poor George - he wasn’t that bad to me, outfit was fecking hideous but I think he’ll get the votes to stay in.

I voted 2 for Kaz, 2 for Bal and 1 for Jimmy.

Sorry I meant Ellie was better this week compared to last week. Not that she was better than Karen. That didn’t read well in my post.

I think Katya has a bit of a resting B*tch face that she can’t help

All the Cheryl hate - I think she’s still beautiful! What are you looking at to say otherwise? She was gorgeous at 25 and she’s gorgeous 15 odd years later. Ppl do age!

Oh and also Emma Bunton - she looks so good! She released Wannabe in 1997 so she’s currently nearly 30 years older and looks gorgeous! We do all age!

I can’t see Tess working on anything much. She’s somewhat lacking in personality and I can’t see her being in demand.

I thought Emma Bunton looked good too; she still looks like herself, neither too altered by age or excessive treatments. She still has her character.

Slight tangent, DS and I have been watching Traitors and he was fascinated by Celia Imerie's face; because it's rare to see such a naturally-aged woman's face on TV.

I think her personality is fine but I think her age might go against her, which is a shame, Claudia is "quirky" and self debricating and has Traitors clout so I can see her ticking along fine,

I did like Lewis dance. voted lewis, Harry, Bal, and 2 to vicky.
Lewis and Vicky were the best in my opinion(which counts for nothing lol)
Ellie and Vito's lifts looked odd to me. wish they would do a slower dance. the height difference shouldn't matter, Nikita managed it with the swimmer.
Georges music put me off. the lyrics seemed weird

Lewis seems a firm favourite he is consistent and is very likeable,

Lewis is a nice person, and he is very good. I'd never vote for him though because he is already a dancer. He was in "Billy Elliott the Musical" and a runner up on "Got to Dance". He was in a hip hop dance group.
I understand that he was a quick replacement for Kristian Nairn and they wanted someone dance ready, but he's basically a professional dancer. It's not the same as someone who learnt it as a child, or is an actor who has done it a bit.

Think Balvinder will struggle maybe because the new professional is forgettable I can’t even remember his name!
Alex and Johannes are a great match, she is just so graceful whoever said she looks like Denise Welch … she’s far too classy …I’d say more Barbara Streisand lookalikey

Love Lewis and Katya , her choreography never gets a mention yet it’s brilliant! Really liked Alex saying she wanted to be like her who wouldn’t, mind you Karen is top of my fav dancers that tango she did was amazing, and yes her partner was ok but I just watched her!

Lewis being a ringer….I like his dances but wouldn’t vote for him

Agree with others who said Tess looked much more relaxed tonight, if only she could be like this every week instead of the must stick to the autocue and grimace and forced laugh she does .
It must be because she thinks ah well soon be out of here it really suited her.

Somehow I don’t mind that he’s a ringer , bit like one of my strictly favs Danny Mac I love watching him dance, yet Amber I just can’t warm too.

Danny was fantastic to watch, and what a pairing with Oti. I never voted for him though.

I agree too. I like Tess - I think she's got a really warm and kind personality. I'm sure she'll have lots of TV and radio offers, but I wouldn't be surprised if she just wants to enjoy an early retirement. I'm a similar age to her and if I had the money, I certainly would.

They did dance to Caught Up…

Funnily enough it was the only dance from last night I had any desire to rewatch
