Kate is so phenomenally wet and ineffective. I expected better from a presenter.

I like her usually but she is so wet it is getting on my nerves ! She doesn't like conflict and is maybe a people pleaser so is just meh !

Appalonia · 23/10/2025 23:33

I'm not a fan of Joe I'm afraid, I find him a bit scary, I wouldn't like to be in a relationship with someone like that.

Clafoutie · 23/10/2025 23:37

Appalonia · 23/10/2025 23:17

Oh they also said they'd like to see a politician on it, but John Bercow ( ? ) ex speaker of the house was on an American version. He didn't do that well as I recall.

Ann Widdecombe!

I liked him until tonight but I thought he got too aggressive.

OMFG! What an episode!

Where to start! The Duel of the Two chests [flashbacks of Charlotte’s “ladies” as she dug her own grave].

The sabotage of the chess game (which no one could quite follow, as Nick’s brain is several moves ahead). Preceded by Kate’s sincere delight at being so useless she’d helped and Celia volunteering how two-faced she is.

New Evil Alan’s one liners. Maybe some scripted. But others so clearly straight off the cuff. He’s so sharp he’ll cut himself.

And what a roundtable! Joe Marler rising like Thor (or was he possessed by the Banquo’s ghost of Joe W?) to rally The Faithful.

Jonathan’s masterful ability to charm his way out of every accusation. Why do so many mention his name, but so few put it on their boards? That desperate to get on his shows?

And Stephen’s blindsiding of a napping Cat before his final goodbye (which I was expecting to be rather more grandiose and profound).

Couldn’t get on with Claudia in the camel, though. Prefer her in black.

Young people these days are very keen to disclose ADHD and autism. Even and especially on TV.
But Cat was also being clever.
She's amazing!

I do agree she’s amazing and thinks fast, hence not being sure if she was telling the truth. Thanks for the update.

@xsquared The round table always gets heated, and I don't think Joe M was overly aggressive tonight, he needed to go for it. He is right about JR, and he's frustrated that people are not listening to him and voting for the obvious traitor

JR is obvious to us because we know he is a traitor. Joe doesn’t, he just suspects.

Joe is equally belligerent about those he suspects who are faithfuls. His “logic” about Jonathan is that each team must be “led by a male big dog”. He was the originator of that piece of nonsense. The logic of “clever well known person” would equally apply to Claire but he didn’t consider her as a big dog - why would he, she is only a middle aged woman.

More importantly when one person behaves like that others tend to shut up. If you really want to get a discussion going and get new ideas you don’t behave in a way that closes off other ideas. David and Nick are both more effective, despite David nearly going out because they listen and influence.

He's still right though. They're still fawning over Stephen so he was seen as the leader of the faithfuls.

I wonder how the programme would work if the TV audience didn't know either who the traitors were.

IfHeWantedToHeWould · 23/10/2025 23:53

Aaargh they’re so so shit! The traitors deserve to win! My DC and I are hooked.

Nick is clever but I think he’ll get murdered. Will the attention now be on Jonathan now Stephen has gone. It’s so frustrating that they’re not guessing what is right in front of them!

I repeat, he needed to be so because he is adamant that it's Jonathan, and by doing so, he hoped that it would trip Jonathan up so that he'd start making mistakes.

Jonathan however is managing the pressure very well and has been cool as a cucumber.

Eloquent as he is, I'm afraid to say the only thing I've noted about David is his penchant for sucking up to Stephen Fry.

mumofoneAloneandwell · 23/10/2025 23:56

I cant stand joe, the rugby guy

He seems so difficult 😒😒

I think that cat using her autism and adhd was poor tbh, not on

Stephen picking up on her sleeping loads was excellent 😄😄🙌

xsquared · 23/10/2025 23:59

Celie volunteering herself for the most two faced player reminded me of when Alexander in S3 volunteered himself just so that people wouldn't have to put a name down. My estimation of him went up even more there.

Does anyone remember who traitors actually put? Was it Leanne?

Appalonia · 23/10/2025 23:59

It's kind of ironic that 2 of the so called ' useless ' women, Kate and Lucy are still in...! I'm not saying it's a tactic, but by appearing so unthreatening, they've managed to avoid both murder and banishment, especially as Kate was on everyone's radar at the very beginning...

It probably is the reason she takes time out though.

The idea the traitors must be tired because they have extra filming is a real stretch. They're hardly going to be up all night.

The traitors need to have weak faithfuls in the final. Lucy however is putting 2 and 2 together, and as far as I know, the Traitors have not really singled her out in being a threat, so she could still play a major part in taking one of them down!

Yeah, it was definitely giving a lot of male Big Dog energy this episode.

But I’m enjoying the delicious juxtaposition that they’re all actually being played by a sleeping, female Big Cat 😉

Joe M came across as very unlikeable tonight. I can imagine he is hard work in this game and is taking it so seriously to the point of annoying everyone else as it’s creating an atmosphere.

Season 6 Ugh GIF by Parks and Recreation

I'd even say hes intimidating

The way he snapped at the Irish woman when she was quizzing him earlier in the series

Edited

I’ll put a small wager on Lucy being a secret assassin.

Think she’s had Jonathan sussed for a while, but perhaps worried about retribution if the numbers weren’t there.

I am waiting for her ninja traitor hunter moment. It's all very frustratingly pedestrian so far. There has to be a twist!

That's totally unreasonable @mumofoneAloneandwell
Firstly, it's highly likely that she is exhausted by being in this environment and engaging in this intensive socialisation. Traitor or Faithful it would be taking it's toll on her.
And secondly, because it's a game based on deceit so she can say what she likes! She wasn't trying to get out of doing her chores, she was fighting an accusation of being a Traitor.

xsquared · 24/10/2025 00:18

I wasn't particularly find of Joe to start with, but I do find it amusing how posters have gone from drooling over him with his eyes and thighs, to denouncing him for being aggressive at the round table.

The contestants are always at their worst at the round table. Last few times people were saying it's Mark, a bit before that people were saying Ruth.

Again, I'm not defending Joe, but I don't find his behaviour any worse than what I've seen so far in this series or any other series of Traitors.

I dunno it felt very much like weaponising her health issues (I have both of them also) to make fry back off - which worked!

I dunno, it wasn't for me

Say what David going to write a letter of apology !

grow a backbone David

Apparently they had a really bad over the top personal row offscreen the night before, so bad they couldn't use any of it on tonight's. Everyone v shocked. Must've been due to David gunning for Stephen a couple of nights, and the reciprocal 'you're such a genius' comments, being total poisoned arrows in Traitors.

FightingFish · 24/10/2025 00:24

I want Lucy to go but think it’s most likely that Nick will go. Am loving the thought of a murder in person. I also think that the contestants must realise that JR is a traitor but they don’t vote him out!? Maybe a case of keeping your enemies close or maybe they want to keep him in because he is good company. Also don’t like JoeM and his intimidating nature, throwing his weight around and generally being a dick. Hope he goes at the next RT.
