I’m still catching up with these excellent but fast moving threads! But I’ve leapt forward to here so I can comment about JR. I don’t think she actually fancies nasty Stephen. I Think at the first sign of him being unpleasant and trouble, she said she’d marry him in that shag marry kill or whatever it was Game, because she knew it would provoke drama and put her in the limelight! Then she got another opportunity when they were asked who they had a crush on, the opportunity to shock people and put Nelly down at the same time. Also making all the fuss about not being happy to talk about her and Div’s sex life… she was happy to talk about it when she was putting him down to the others and talking to her pet shop boys about not getting use out of her toys… There is absolutely nothing genuine about her.

I think rat boy had already had his first big outburst and the group was still reeling from it, when JR threw into the ring she'd choose to’ ‘marry’ him. And at the time I thought she had just said it for effect and attention, as a shocker and to rebel. Also it was her telling everyone he’d been talking about his past shags of z lister including some of the grim details of how he said it, and I think she realised that he would get lots of (negative) attention and she wanted to be right in there with the drama. So saying I’d like to shag rat boy was guaranteed to get some of that attention on her as well, with the added bonus of throwing shade at Div, (too quiet, too short, too easy, too smitten) and further bonus of humiliating Nelly. As in, you Nelly can’t handle this difficult, angry out of control man, but I the inimitable JR can!
For her, I think it’s gay men for friends, straight men to do her bidding and for shags or for taking the piss out of, women for competing with and scoring points over.
