3 votes for Chris (as Id much prefer La Voix or Stefan to be in the dance off) and 2 votes for Karen for the criminal undermarking as first dance.

Holluschickie · 18/10/2025 20:49

Completely ridiculous that Karen is only one point ahead of Stefan.

Yep!!

Mokel · 18/10/2025 20:52

I bet someone with stats will come up and say throughout many series of Strictly, the couples that dance in the first half - their average points is lower than the ones danced 2nd half. Even by 1 point, that could make a difference esp when couples are tied.

What's with all these quiz shows on a Saturday night.

I would be happy for La Voix to go.

Yes, it’s time.

plinkero · 18/10/2025 21:08

La Voix tries too hard to turn the whole thing onto the LaVoix show.

Oh pipe down Neil!

I can't fucking stand him.

CaveMum · 18/10/2025 21:13

CaveHouse votes went:

Karen
Harry
Bal
Vikki
George

JoeMarlerseyes · 18/10/2025 21:13

Voted 2 for Vicky, 2for Chris and 1 for Harry.
loved A lex but she is safe

Butteredtoast55 · 18/10/2025 21:17

I'd prefer La Voix to stay in over Stefan or Chris, but if they're in the dance off, La Voux and Aljaz are toast.

Romeiswheretheheartis · 18/10/2025 21:23

I think Karen was a bit undermarked, but the difference was really created by overmarking as the night went on. And Stefan and Chris being ridiculously overmarked (Nadiya did a brilliant distraction job).

katya looked pissed off about something towards the end in the background

How long will the judges vote keep her in do you think?

I'm wondering when they'll start treating and marking her like they would if she didn't have Downs Syndrome.

Katya is quite intense i think, she often looks irritated by something,

I mean the impression given is that their comments are much more gentle and their marking more generous than if she wasn't disabled.

Did you think the same about Chris last year, because had he been fully sighted his achievements wouldn't have been considered as impressive.

I know! But normally at the end/ in the Claudatorium she has that big almost fake smile on her and she was the opposite

awaynboilyurheid · 18/10/2025 21:47

Not that keen in La voix so he can go, Ellie is pure joy and has a great partnership with Vito.

What's with all these quiz shows on a Saturday night.

It's dreadful, it's times like this that I miss the XFactor. Saturday night these days seems to be wall to wall quiz shows (the only one I like is the Hit List because it's music).

Where are the Merlin's, the Doctor Who's. We've not had a decent early evening Saturday family drama in years.

I suppose quiz shows are cheap to make though.

No, because he could actually dance but Ellie is not a good dancer.

I wondered whether tonight they felt the end may be in sight. There was a lot of "You'll always remember this moment" type comments.

I dont think they are gentle in their marking, which is what counts but are possibly in their comments. Im not sure what level of learning disability she has but a gentler tone in comments I think is fair enough.

No way would another dancer have got 8s if they'd danced exactly like she did tonight though.

The young woman has an intellectual disability how do you think they should speak to her. You can't "normalise" her because you think it is unfair,
