KEEP DANCING

Did anybody notice Moxie being very touchy feely with Shirley last night? At one point Shirley was talking and the camera was on her and Moxie’s hand appeared in shot stroking/smoothing her hair. It was a bit odd I thought.

Motsi.
No, not really. I think they're good friends and there's often a bit of banter.

I liked Tom when he was on the apprentice. He's become a bit of a pantomime villain after the kiss and tell stuff, tabloid fodder, the gutter press has really did a number on him - I feel a bit sorry for him and his family.

That said, his dancing is up there with the worst i've ever saw on strictly. The tongue out/grimacing too - jeez it's soooooo bad 🫣😂

I don't feel at all sorry for a convicted criminal who's done a video with Jenrick, who's aligned himself with Trump and Vance and who's cosied up to Reform. He's created his own profile.

Ellmau · 05/10/2025 12:13

I think Ellie is finding it quite hard to cope with everything that goes on once they are all stood together as it's very full on with a lot on people competing to be " seen " .
She probably has some time out time

I suspect the results show is going to be tougher for her. I've said before I expect her to be called safe first as long as she is, but the first time she's in the dance off will be difficult.

She might well be called safe - if she is - early tonight, but I don't think that should happen every week. I think if she is treated the same as everyone else it's a process she has to get used to.

There is no evidence that she's finding it tough to deal with. I think she's absolutely loving it!

On the one hand, I agree with you, but there is also a duty of care to a disabled person which I think they will be worried about if she can't cope. They won't want to be pilloried if it all goes wrong.

That's why she has a chaperone and plenty of breaks. It's all done at her pace as much as possible.
She's done acting and modelling work, so she's probably built up some self management.

I think that's a fair point. I'm a bit torn. If they do make a habit of calling her safe early though, the first time she's in the dance off will be stressful for her as she waits knowing what's coming.

I'm sure that's been discussed and planned for

RainbowBagels · 05/10/2025 12:27

I was on taxi duties so watched half last night and half this morning. I have started watching more of the VT's now because I do like that there is a bit more technique in them (although there was still the mawkishness. Some of them have really pulled out the big guns early ( Ross- Scotland, but I don't think he expects to be in for long) and there was some other 'My home town that I love so much I moved to London as soon as humanly possible' bits, but I liked the instruction parts. I also liked Stefan coming in and helping out George with the Paso face. It was interesting that he simply told him to pull his shoulders back and his whole posture changed. George probably like most young people spends a lot of time slouched over a screen but just a tiny adjustment made such a difference to how he held himself. If Id got back in time I'd have voted for Ross ( thought the 2 was harsh and I thought it was a lovely waltz to a beautiful song) Alex, just because River Song and she was great and probably George.

I voted for Balvinder, I thought she was good. I like her and Julian. Plus, she's not 23 and not a ringer!

I gave Balvinder 2 votes ,I think she is great and really like Julian . Voted for George ,Jimmy and Ellie .

I agree. They must have done and I imagine they would have discussed it with Ellie and her parents. She does need to be in the results section, but its a long show with that bit too,. She doesnt have to be standing up in the Clauditorium the whole time. That would be an easy reasonable adjustment to just let her sit it out in a dressing room somewhere. Maybe they have given her the option.

gingercat02 · 05/10/2025 12:37

People dip in and out of the Clauditorium all the time.

Ellie has chosen to be a model and influencer with whatever support she needs.
I'm sure she and those around her want her to be treated the same as everyone else, but there will allowances made if required without doubt.

A million percent this.
Nobody is made to sign up for one of the countries highest rated telly shows against their will. And as Toms mate Donald/JD/Nigel will no doubt tell him, all publicity is good publicity.

As I said, I got my take on his persona from the apprentice, whereupon he came across as kind and genial - if a bit naive.

I don't care what his (or anyone's) political leanings are, especially given current/au fait political polarisation (where your average bore will cite ANY view different to their own as 'extreme'). It's a dance competition, so i'll judge his dancing (which is utterly awful).

EsmaCannonball · 05/10/2025 11:49

I've watched it back and I can now definitively answer who Stefan Dennis looked like in that wig and clobber: Matthew Kelly.

I thought he looked like an off-duty tele-evangelist on holiday in Thailand 🤮 Worst look of the evening after Amber's ghastly frock.

When Ross appeared in the kilt I was reminded that, as a Scot of that generation, he must have learned a few dance steps in the school gym as a boy.

bizzey · 05/10/2025 17:36

Ahh ..I don't know which thread I posted on but I said I had missed Ross's dance as my TV decided to jump .

Just wat it now.

(Re realized I didn't have to scroll through the whole show...I could just put his name into my phone and search 🤦🤦🤦)

Ohh what a sweet heart .

He was really thinking about where he was placing his feet 🥰

Timing a roast for 19:00 so I can catch the results show, my DM would disapprove 😆
I thought it was shorter and I could do dinner after, it’s very inconsiderate of them, 19:30 would be better.

CaveMum · 05/10/2025 18:56

Checking in ready for the results.
