The paucity of Saturday early evening television

I know we have more choice than the terrestrial channels but You Bet - which is mindless and vile - vs. this new Amanda Holden farce.
Back to YouTube methinks.

Funnily enough, I've just come off YouTube, as I wanted to see what Saturday evening tv looks like now. Problem is, I'm an eighties kid, and Saturday night TV always seemed so entertaining back then.
You bet is pretty much what I expected it to be, mildly entertaining featuring celebrities that are appealing to the masses. It's OK, but nowhere near how tv used to be.
I'm not surprised people go back to YouTube.

It comes to something when the Saturday night channel 5 staple offering of Royal family fodder (with the same 5 'experts' year in year out) is preferable to anything ITV has to offer.. Oh and I have never watched Strictly and never will.

We're watching re-runs of the generation game!

It annoys me that schedulers don’t seem to put any effort in. Not everyone has access to good internet or pay tv.
