And if Steven was worried about his father in law, why was he showing it by gossiping and bragging about his conquests in the bar while Nelly was in pain and alone?

The “experts” have lost the plot this year. Can’t believe they were excusing Steven like that.

It’s scary when you look at Steven’s Instagram and all the comments say ‘you have to fight for love’ ‘every relationship has its ups and downs’. He’s abusive and manipulative. Love bombing on the honeymoon then deliberately withdrawing attention once they returned. He clearly has no regard for Nelly especially with regard to her broken rib. His bullshit excuse about his step dad and missing his kids. Obviously when you’re missing your kids the first thing you do is dump your partner to go on the piss and brag in detail about your sexual conquests. Odious man and he should have been thrown off after his expletive ridden outburst. Nelly is the classic abused victim. She’s clearly now petrified of saying something to up set him. She was almost shaking with fear when Leah said she was going to speak to him at the dinner party, almost begging her not to because he’d get angry.

I really don't think these shows should be allowed to be aired once the abuse becomes clear - they should stop allowing it to be aired. If they allow it they basically are telling the producers to keep putting women into these situations to get ratings on TV. It's a cycle that needs to be stoppped and they should be made to pay for real therapists to help everyone who has been affected. Poor Sarah will be having issues with men for life after this, Dean isn't being called up on his life choices to be fat then use his weight to manipulate women into fancying him, Paul hasn't even had any advice on how to communicate like an adult and share information, they've paired an alcoholic with someone with alcohol abuse in their past - it has to stop! It's all just for drama without needing a script writer. The final straw for me was hearing the gay producer got Sarah to say she fancied him when drinking with her and they've used that against her even though they didn't film it or get any context! How are the people making the show legally allowed to get contestants drunk and then broadcast what they said without proof or any footage? Producers manipulating situations for TV drama like this must be against the law? It is certainly poor ethically.

I've been listening to So Dramatic's interviews with Sierah from MAFSA (hours and hours of them) and feeling incredibly uncomfortable about the whole MAFS thing, and wondering why on earth I'm watching. I think it's a miracle there has been no serious crisis with a contestant as we saw in Love Island.

The abuse that has gone unchecked and edited out in the UK version is horrific.

I've actually complained to Ofcom, the idea of people making money from this is appalling, let alone how it's coaching men to behave when we have issues with rising misogyny and femicide.

Agreed. I think her self-esteem is so low she'll accept the unacceptable, and it's a shame because she seems lovely. She does seem to be drawing some boundaries though. I would love to see her dump his sorry ass after his recent behaviour, although tbh I think he should have been kicked off the show.

I thought Paul’s summary of Ashley as A for effort and C for execution was spot on. He definitely started the marriage with a traditional outlook and expected her to be impressed with his old school ways. Grace however is ready to pounce on every possible misogynistic comment. Between the two of them it’s never going to work. He can’t seem to see what she means and she is overly sensitive on the subject. I consider myself a feminist but I see actions as more important. I haven’t see Ashley act in a way that is misogynistic and he says when asked that he believes in equality. I think he’s just developed this idea that women want to hear he is a capable alpha male. Grace’s behaviour presents as someone who has had some sort of trauma or she has ASD
