I forgot Amy had to put up with DJJ - he was horrible to her. I think the plan is that she takes over from Dianne if necessary.

I thought in some of the group dance last night Dianne had quite a rounded stomach area so I'm guessing she's about 4-5 months along

Movie or Musicals Week I want La Voix and Aljaz to do Little Rock from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, but I bet they get something obvious that's been done before, like a repeat of Jason and Kristina's fabulous Priscilla, Queen of the Desert tango. Or they'll do Kinky Boots (I'm in the camp of 'modern musicals are rubbish with forgettable songs').

I see Aljaz as Marilyn and La Voix as Jane.

Blackpool Week, I literally cannot think of anything more Blackpool than La Voix doing a big Danny La Rue production number of On Mother Kelly's Doorstep.

I expect Ross king and Tom skinner to go first. I was thinking Stefan might last 4/5 weeks largely due to his popularity but you could be right

I love watching strictly but once one series ends I forget about it until the next so I'm a bit out of the loop. Have gathered from this thread that Diane is pregnant (yay), and no gorka or giovani? Any other changes?

At the moment my money's on one of the North East pair because people seem to like a likeability as well as a competent dancer. And I would love to see Katya do well after coming so close in 2023. I still think if Nigel hadn't withdrawn them they'd have won.

No worries, he's not someone whose been on my radar but somehow I ended up being unable to miss him this week 🙄.

True. I got the feeling last night that they are maybe going to try and make them the novelty/comedy act and the public does get bored of that after a while.

I don't think they'll be first out, I'm really hoping that accolade will go to Thomas (and considering the vast majority of the people voting are likely to be women, it may well be) because if nothing else I'd love to see him try and style out that huge blow to his ego.

Yes Diana and Joe announced they are expecting a little boy in 2026 last week. She has a partner for this year but usual form is for the winning pro to get someone with little prospect of progressing, but Otti proved with Bill Bailey that sometimes the person production thinks will be an early boot can go all the way. I don't think Stefan is a certainty for an early exit so it will be interesting to see how her pregnancy (and Stefan's age) impact the routines.

Gorka is in a judges seat on the Spanish version this year so will be in the already filmed group dances but couldn't compete with a partner.

Joe Varney is I think now a pro on the Italian version having been dropped by Strictly in the wake of the the Amanda A brouhaha a couple of years ago.

I'm happy to be proved wrong on Ross. And I didn't really see him in the group dance last night because it was just a mass of colour, so he may do well.

I can live with Mr Emmerdale having a million siblings (surely he'll need to make the final for all of them to get to go at least once) but his mullet style hairdo has got to go. Although I can see that might be different for Emmerdale filming continuity. Wonder how they'll explain the spray tan away!

I really like La Voix, they seem a genuinely lovley person and hard grafter. I was a bit worried they'd be a bit of a twat as they were old school drag royalty in the UK, as in, think they didnt have to work for their place, or would be rude to the younger, less experienced queens, but they were genuinely lovley

They had a make over challenge on RPDR and La Voix made over their father, who is rather on the older side compared to the other contestants subjects and the love his father and him have together was so beautiful to see

I agree re Ross, in that he had a lot of rhythm, and he will have musicality, having been a DJ for so long.
He is likeable, if a bit much at times, and he'll provide zero controversy
