Agree that Kat and Alfie are now sidelined especially now Sharon is back and willing to help. I feel that most people would hire the PI on the quiet without Zo being involved too much just to see what is actually going on.
Although I suppose she needs information to get started etc. It’s a tough one and I can see the fallout when Sharon discovers she has ‘ embroidered the truth ‘ a lot just for money!

Shellingbynight · 25/09/2025 11:07

I fear we are in for a lengthy Zoe and Sharon war, which will be as annoying as the Jack and Ravi war.🙁

Butterpaneer · 25/09/2025 11:21

Those forget me nots were some of the fakes plants I've ever seen...

Zoe left the unnamed hospital without finding out if the girl twin was alive or not. She thought the worst and just took off. She is only searching for a boy now.

This is the worst element in the story. It is ludicrous the writers are trying to make us believe that Zoe would assume one of her twin babies has died. I expect this is all building up to the most predictable conclusion - that Jasmine is Zoe’s daughter and a “I ain’t your mother!” confrontation scene, in a reversal of the famous “you ain’t my mother!” scene from 2001.

Kim's singing tonight wtaf 🤣

She's was a cruise ship singer before wasn't she? Maybe if they sent her on Linda's cruise she might come back.

I don't mind Zoe being back as they alway show someone's overexagerated bad side before their good side on this show. It will settle I'm sure. It's refreshing to see someone on the show not completely glammed up in heels just to buy a pint of milk too, bit more realistic (in other words I'm partial to a bobbly jumper myself, and don't feel guilty about being a slob with her on the telly).

the80sweregreat · 25/09/2025 11:49

For someone with three boys to raise and a pub to run Kat is displaying superhuman qualities, finding the right plant , running about after Zo and generally holding it together. I bet that running a pub isn’t easy to do, yet she is hardly there getting the deliveries in or doing the vat returns. I know Alfie is about , but he is gormless most of the time. At least you see Elaine behind the bar and actually asked Jasmine for some paperwork !
( a bit of a first)

the80sweregreat · 25/09/2025 11:52

I think that Jasmine is a red herring and actually after Cindy! She’ll probably rope in Oscar or possibly Max who has had beef with everyone historically until someone realizes that Cindy and him share a grand child ( Abi ) ! The Fosters and Jasmine wouid make a good storyline , rather than being the long lost dead ( not dead) daughter of Zo.

drwitch · 25/09/2025 11:53

love the idea that no one who runs the Albert (or even any of the customers) are LGBT - Elaine having a gay grandson is the closest

the80sweregreat · 25/09/2025 11:55

Ben will be able to drown his sorrows in the Albert soon.
Had Stacey told her ex wife Eve that she is off to serve coffee in Brazil? Poor Eve will need a new assistant

the80sweregreat · 25/09/2025 11:57

Zoe always was dreary. A tangled love life with Antnee and Jamie ( I think that was his name ?) the whole Dirty Den / Dennis drama ( which was just horrible) getting involved with Chrissie and Sam Mitchell etc.
Chrissie I wouldn’t mind seeing back tbh.
She was ace.

Shellingbynight · 25/09/2025 12:07

@drwitch Callum, Johnny and Oscar were all in the Albert yesterday so they do get some LGBT customers.

Haven't seen today's but I don't get why Sharon would care about a child of a past boyfriend. I'd perhaps get it if it was recent and the child was young but we're talking about a 20 year old. Perhaps I'm just heartless.

will be her dead son's brother, her adopted fathers grandson and also Vicky's nephew

the80sweregreat · 25/09/2025 12:21

Ahh, but Dennis was the love of Sharon’s life and they had to overcome Den’s hatred of them together ( although they were not blood related) so of course Sharon is feeling the longing to see him. (Most people wouldn’t I agree !)
Maybe it’ll go all ‘ sons and daughters’ and the twins will meet each other and fall in love only to be driven apart by the truth at a later stage!

Alucard55 · 25/09/2025 12:34

I'm still not getting it but I agree it makes for more confusing storylines at a later date.

the80sweregreat · 25/09/2025 12:39

They always go potty over Family on EE!
It’s a shame they don’t treat the babies and little ones better to begin with sometimes. She could have hung around and found out what the adoption process entailed or reached out to people, but no, it’s all done 20 years later. ( when the missing ones are adults and you can wring out more stories around them )

Southeastdweller · 25/09/2025 12:45

Like any sane person would do, she could have hung around to see if one of her babies was definitely dead instead of making the assumption she was, but this is EE.

Zo is an awful woman. Walking out without even trying to organize some kind of funeral for the girl baby or seeing what will happen to the other one :(
Kat only did what she did under pressure from family and didn’t know about the other twin. Zoe is far more callous.

Posted twice ! No idea why

the80sweregreat · 25/09/2025 13:00

I think that Pet ah paid the writer off to insert ‘ you’re such a good looking man at most opportunities this week ! Might be a personal friend.

Shellingbynight · 25/09/2025 13:50

A major problem I have with Zoe’s return is that it is forcing us to reprise the heinous relationship of Sharon and he’s-definitely-not-my-bother Dennis. I couldn’t get on board with it even back then and I certainly don’t want a reminder.

Poor tragic Sharon then lost Denny so of course she wants to track down a random 19 year old who Lying Zoe says is Dennis’s. (Albie? Second class citizen, not born of St Dennis’s loins.)

I hope they don’t find Zoe’s kids. Imagine finding out Zoe is your mother.😱

lazymum99 · 25/09/2025 13:54

Charli looked terrified of Ricky and Jack in the park😂. The perils of acting with a toddler.
Stacey got one way tickets to São Paulo. Not even sure that most countries will let you in without a return ticket.

Alucard55 · 25/09/2025 14:51

Did anyone else notice Stacey saying "well they weren't blood related but it was a bit makes a funny face" 😂

NowNumber5 · 25/09/2025 15:19

Agree with you @Shellingbynight
It was awful enough first time around, especially with the added disturbing, stomach churning, really, really pushing the boundaries of decency, storyline of DW bedding Zoe so she could get pregnant to tie Dennis to her.
Would that storyline be allowed now I wonder.

@lazymum99 yes, I noticed the terrified toddler actually shaking her head, and backing away from them 😅
