Not the most exciting title.

I suppose Laver Cup and Davis Cup must be happening too soon.

Shame for Matteo - I’m out so can’t watch at the minute - I’m not a big fan of GMP servebot

Think he’s got it in the bag 😀

Raahh · 26/09/2025 14:56

Had to go out before the last couple of games, so glad he won that.

Very good day for results. ( imo)

Great shot Lorenzo!

Sinner match , getting interesting

IceandIndigo · 27/09/2025 10:03

Atmane is amazing! I still think Jannik will win though.

librauk · 27/09/2025 10:06

@IceandIndigo Yeah, it is looking that way .

IceandIndigo · 27/09/2025 10:07

ADF and AdM are playing doubles. AdM has already had a tough singles match today, he must be so fit.

Raahh · 27/09/2025 10:22

I was surprised (ish) to see Carlos is playing his match- reports yesterday were that his ankle was still a problem. He must feel ok with it though.

No surprise Jannik has turned the third set around, though.

Yeah, me too, heard that report .

Nice meeting at the net.

Well done Jannik.

Well done Jannik. Really a shame that Atmane started cramping.

IceandIndigo · 27/09/2025 10:44

Carlos’ ankle is clearly not 100%, his movement is reduced and he’s not pushing off that foot on serve as much as usual. He’ll probably still win the match.

ChessieFL · 27/09/2025 11:25

Just turned on to see Sonay has almost won her match, great result for her.

I was surprised he played- ultimately, it's not a 'major' tournament for him, and he risks ending his season early (which has happened before) if he makes it worse. Shanghai is the Masters event - surely it would be better to rest for that? If clinching the year end number 1 means that much to him- there are still opportunities to come.
It's not his strongest period of the year though, indoors, I suppose.

Sonay is having a great year. Some really good results over higher ranked players.

Great win for Sonay, good to see her backing up her Wimbledon success.

Yeah, I was a bit surprised he played. Maybe he feels obligated to justify what was probably a whopping appearance fee? He got through today against a player he’s simply a lot better than, but if he wants to win the tournament he’ll have to play 3 days in a row now which seems a stretch.

Raahh · 27/09/2025 12:04

I saw that Carlos is down to play another exhibition in Miami in December (with Emma again- their management are really pushing thatHmm). In fact, he's playing 2 exhibitions - he's playing another with her in New Jersey.

I just hope all those involved don't subsequently complain about having to play too many tournaments, and not having a proper winter break. (and I like Carlos- but they can't have it all ways).
