TENNIS- US OPEN finals weekend continues. Then it's onwards to Japan and China.

I suppose Laver Cup and Davis Cup must be happening too soon.

I set all now- Iga seems to have settled into the match after 1-6 first set.

Suddenly so much to watch- Lore is playing, Daniil is playing in Hangzhou. The Iga/Ekaterina final is into a tight 3rd set.

And I'm score watching the BJK Cup is it the odd, first to 4 (5) games format? I can never get my head around that.

I've realised the scoring is as normal- but for some reason Flashscore is displaying it really oddly.

I am enough today Either way, it's looking good for Italy.

Alexandrova is hanging onto the 3rd set- must be gutted she couldn't close this match in the second set.

Quick look around the other matches- odd watching Daniil and not seeing Gilles in his box. Makes me a bit sad.

Italy have won the first match at the BJK Cup- but next up is Pegula/Paolini. The HTH is 5-0 is Jess's favour though- so it could come down to the doubles.

Well done Iga- hard match for Alexandrova to lose, but she at least got a few games out of it(more than most did against Iga this week!).

The vase is a bit like they bought a bunch of plain ones from Ikea and then wrote on them.

The maths of the Laver Cup is giving me a headache, It's 9-3 at the moment- , but each match now counts for 3 (?) points

So Europe could still win.

Didn't realise short-shorts Tomas Machac was an alternate on the Laver Cup team.

I remember now, Friday matches are worth 1 point, Saturday 2, and Sunday 3.

Bit rubbish for the Friday winners.

The announcer has been taking lessons from on how to pronounce names, I think.

Yeah I was surprised that after the whitewash yesterday Team World still need to win two matches today to win. Whereas Team Europe need to win four matches. And if neither of those things happen there’s some sort of doubles tie break thingy.

Seems like Casper and Carlos are going to stop the bleeding at least.

Couple of interesting finals today. Lore is playing in the Chengdu final against Alejandro Tabilo, and Sasha Bublik is playing in the Hangzhou final against Valentin Royer - who's had a good run from qualifying. If anyone can point to either of these cities on the map you're doing better than me.

Tokyo and Beijing start later this week too. Can't get my head around these midweek starts.

I was very pleased to see Lore get through yesterday, and Sasha. Sasha is having a very good year.

Sasha is definitely having a good year, although he picks his tournaments well - with the exception of his amazing run in Halle he's not often coming up against top players.
