Strictly 2025 : The SPOILER Thread (Results and Couplings)

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 05/09/2025 13:03

Starting this a bit early as Spoilers for the couplings could come out at any time.

Thread will normally be the location for the weekly spoiler but will be spoilers for who is paired with who before the 20th if we can get them.

Thanks!

I think we end up with two in the final, rather than three?

RandomGeocache · 20/10/2025 19:55

isn't it usually four in the final, so down to 3? most years recently they appear to have had someone get ill or withdraw.

Yes I think you're right! So we'll have 3 in the final?

Adoree · 23/10/2025 10:33

Wow it's just been announced Tess and Claudia have quit !
assume at the end of current series.
I saw it on Daily Mail online

RandomGeocache · 23/10/2025 11:12

Yes it's on the BBC website. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c77d3p6r2r8t

Claudia has bigger fish to fry - she is fronting the biggest show on telly at the moment and also has a lead role on that Piano thing. She no longer needs to play second fiddle to (pretty useless) Tess.

It will be interesting to see what the BBC do. It seems unlikely that they will stop the series altogether but they will need some experienced and decent presenters. Personally I liked the fact that one of the BBC's biggest shows was fronted by two middle aged women who are so often invisible.

Zoe Ball would be a good replacement. Someone who has done the show or has a bit of dance knowledge, but please not an influencer or love island person.

Adoree · 23/10/2025 11:15

Maybe Oti and an ex male dancer / ex male celeb might be good .

tennissquare · 23/10/2025 11:23

Please not Janette! She no doubt will be desperate for a prime time role.

Zoe would be great or even Karen Harding, with Rylan upstairs! Please not Janette or Fleur. I can’t imagine whoever they choose will please everyone (least of all me!!)

Results are in. I'm absolutely gobsmacked with the bottom 2 😱

StrictlySequinsandStiIettos · 25/10/2025 23:28

You are allowed to say on here, tis the spoiler thread!!

PrincessScarlett · 25/10/2025 23:29

I know 🤣 Jimmy and Amber in dance off. Obviously judges all saved Amber. Jimmy has gone 😭

2Rebecca · 25/10/2025 23:30

And…. Why post on a spoiler thread and not say who the bottom 2 are?

PrincessScarlett · 25/10/2025 23:32

Absolutely gutted for Jimmy and Lauren.

Feel sorry for Amber as she has had so much shit online and this has now fed through to the voting. She's done absolutely nothing wrong.

StrictlySequinsandStiIettos · 25/10/2025 23:44

Lewis and Katya: 34 (11 points)
2. Amber and Nikita: 33 (10 points)
=. Vicky and Kai: 33 (10 points)

  1. Alex and Johannes: 32 (9 points)
  2. Harry and Karen: 30 (8 points)
=. Jimmy and Lauren: 30 (8 points)
  1. Balvinder and Julian: 28 (7 points)
=. Ellie and Vito: 28 (7 points) =. Karen and Carlos: 28 (7 points) =. La Voix and Aljaz: 28 (7 points) 11. George and Alexis: 27 (6 points)

Fudd on Digital Spy did the maths and said Amber must have been last in public vote. Shame as I loved her routine.
I thought Jimmy would be in trouble with that track and that spin at the end. Had he done a tango to When doves cry, he would have got through.
The camera angle footage on X showed George in a better light and Harry worse. I thought the latter had swag. Was really impressed with a tricky song. George was saved by his fandom.
Who do I think was the worst?
Ellie. Overmarked and should have been in the DO and gone.

PrincessScarlett · 25/10/2025 23:50

Interesting @StrictlySequinsandStiIettos . Real kick in the teeth for Amber being last in public vote.

I said similar on the main thread when there were comments around Amber and her being “highly strung” in that ringers are the producers fault not the contestants.

She has done nothing to deserve the vitriol she is getting considering she came in last minute. Yes she has dancing experience but like other years male ringers don’t get close to the online abuse that female ones do. Look at Ore or Danny Mac, both were loved with Ore winning (and then starred with Amber in a musical!)

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 26/10/2025 01:26

No one likes a ringer proving true of the voting public yet again. Feel sorry for Jimmy who I felt had further to go.

OP posts:
Rainbowcat77 · 26/10/2025 05:10

Personally I couldn’t care less about the “ringer” thing. In the circumstances they had to get somebody who could dance in order to catch up. The thing is though that Amber is just not coming across as likeable, I struggle to warm to her and I never feel like there’s good chemistry between her and Nikita and at the end of the day people vote for the personality and the relationship between the pair as much as for the dancing.

autumngirl714 · 26/10/2025 05:27

I don’t agree that no one likes a ringer, personally I love a ringer! It’s great tos we those go on a journey but I also love to see ones who can dance really well! I look forward to Lewis and ambers dances!

I did call this though on the other thread. I just had a feeling she would be in the bottom and I bet she’s repeatedly in the bottom now moving forward and wiped everyone else out!
I agree that amber isn’t coming across all that likeable and she was annoying tonight with Claudia. I also feel like she’s annoying Nikita. She just needs to dial it down abit.

cosyblankethome · 26/10/2025 06:07

For me with Amber, she is a bit like Maisie Smith. A good dancer but someone I just couldn’t connect to. Vicky is coming over particularly well and I am enjoying watching Alex grow too. I am sad that Jimmy has gone though. I felt he had another couple of weeks in him.

spoonbillstretford · 26/10/2025 06:13

I voted for Amber. She was a last minute replacement and had to be a ringer. Enjoyed the cha cha and the potrayal of AG. Jimmy was overmarked and in in my bottom two last night so it seems like a fair result.

I don't read any gossip, or watch ITT and sometimes watching later fast forward everything but the actual dancing. So I don't particularly care or know about how someone comes across other than their performance, artistry and technique.

Mokel · 26/10/2025 06:19

Hope Bal was one of the first names to be announced

LondonLady1980 · 26/10/2025 07:23

I do hate it when novices who are trying hard abd improving get knocked out by Ringers in the dance-off. It’s very unfair. I fear this will be it now though…. Amber in the bottom two each week and her being saved each time because surprise, surprise she can dance better than whoever she’s up against.

I’d rather the Ringers just go through on public votes so at least the Dance-offs are between couples who are on some kind of level playing field.

Holluschickie · 26/10/2025 07:30

Glad Bal made it through but sad to lose Jimmy. I think he had more in him. I love a ringer but I prefer Lewis- and Katya's choreo- to Amber.

Personally I think Ellie and La Voix have reached their limits but they seem to have their fans.
