Starting this a bit early as Spoilers for the couplings could come out at any time.

Thread will normally be the location for the weekly spoiler but will be spoilers for who is paired with who before the 20th if we can get them.

Oh ffs. It was the shit music that did for him.

I thought it would be Amber v Lewis with Lewis going. I am happy that Bal got voted through but really sad not to see Lewis in the final. She won't win and neither will Amber so that leaves George or Karen. I like George but, in my opinion, he does not deserve to win. His dances have all been pretty boring.

Can't remember a single dance of George's. They are all so beige.

The music for Lewis was rubbish. I don’t think that helped him with votes. The music likely wouldn’t have connected with the viewers so the dance wouldn’t either. That said, Amber’s song choice was very catchy and she was also in the bottom 2. All Amber did last night was her day job though.

I gave all my votes to Bal last night. For me she is what strictly is about. She’s improving after coming from nothing.

Such a shame I loved Lewis’ dances. Although I found last nights left me completely unmoved. It was so confusing watching him, didn’t know where he was half the time.
I didn’t like Ambers either, again she doesn’t move me, she could literally jump 10 feet in the air, do a quadruple back flip and I wouldn’t be impressed.

So glad Balvinder got through, her dancing last night was absolutely beautiful.

Really sad to see Lewis go!

Has anyone been in the bottom two after getting 40 before? That’s an interesting stat for the Strictly statisticians out there

I thought B2 was going to be two of George, Kaz and Bal. Not the actual B2

I agree, it’s become increasingly obvious that Lewis is not new to dancing, and as you say, it’s kinda literally Ambers job.

I’m hoping for a George, Karen, Balvinder final and I’d be happy to see any of one of them wins. These are the three that have the least dance experience and have consistently improved each week.

Agree with this. It's between George and Karen. I'm the same, can't remember any of George's dances and there have been at least a couple of times that he deserved to go home. Whereas Karen, who can forget week one with that jive and last week's paso was outstanding.

Ran here after creating my own thread (didn't know you guys existed) - I AM SHOOK! Have the voting public had a collective attack of the vapours? Also I'm from just down the road (have mutual friends with Lewis' family) and the people of Hartlepool will be gutted tonight!

I'm surprised how disappointed I am, but don't think I have much enthusiasm for watching the final now. I have been really looking forward to seeing Lewis and Katya's showdance and i just don't care about seeing George or Amber dance again. Balvinder is lovely, but I think she's reached her ceiling. I really like Karen and definitely want her in the final but she hasn't got much range. I didn't think Lewis would win, but I thought he'd give us fireworks and spectacle, and the next two weeks feel a bit flat without that.

I could see this coming with everyone throwing 5 votes at Balvinder because she's had a tough time. Lewis has basically had one dodgy dance and he's out.
It's a popularity contest as much as a dance one but I fear it's going to be a very dull final with Amber who is never going to win, George who is completely unmemorable and doesn't seem overly bothered whether he's there or not, and Karen, who is either fab or misses the mark. She will probably win but I'll be really annoyed if George wins.

The thing in Lewis's dance where he was spinning Katya round with another dancer on his shoulders......my eyes were on stalks. He may have dance experience but that's on a completely different level. He's developed and improved too, and I am so annoyed he's gone.

Yes, my votes last night went to Karen and Balvinder. I don't like Amber, partly because she's a ringer, partly because I find her twee and annoying.

Ambers lippy annoyed me ! Too much there by the make up people.
She is a good dancer, but it’s just so unfair that Lewis ( who is consistently good) has gone now.

So glad now that I'm out of the country on final night now - was tempted to set up a VPN to watch but I won't bother

Balvinder is boring , if your in the DO that many times they should automatically leave ( nothing against her, but the voting system sucks )

I'm gutted Lewis has gone. He was the best dancer by far. Bal or George should have gone. I'm not keen on the way Karen dances either.

Lewis is the one I've loved watching over the series so I'm very disappointed. The final will be much poorer without him and Katya. I would have been happy if he'd won the glitterball, even though he's a ringer.

I hope his career gets a huge boost from this.

I didn't vote yesterday (after quickly watching the dances on catch up) because Amber and Lewis were such ringers and I wasn't that enthused about anyone else.

I do think it is a shame that Lewis has gone though, as I enjoyed watching him dance.

Karen did well to survive the costuming and theming of doom.

I was very sorry to see Alex leave last week, she was my fave. She had so much personality and flair on top of being a Strictly superfan and improving week on week. However, she had been injured and it was probably her time, to be honest.

The line-up seems lacklustre now.

The final would have been so much better to watch with Lewis in it even if he didn't win. I'm not sure I'll bother watching it now.
