Strictly 2025 : The SPOILER Thread (Results and Couplings)

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 05/09/2025 13:03

Starting this a bit early as Spoilers for the couplings could come out at any time.

Thread will normally be the location for the weekly spoiler but will be spoilers for who is paired with who before the 20th if we can get them.

Thanks!

Adding my voice to the chorus of It Should Have Been La Voix

I don't think it's fair how la voix has more screen time before his dance, the joke isn't funny anymore.

Agree, has any other contestant ever had this extra screen time. It’s pure favouritism.

RandomGeocache · 09/11/2025 09:15

He's certainly very good at pushing himself in front of the camera.

Anyway. Based on last night, I want Vicky Pattison to win.

EsmaCannonball · 09/11/2025 09:22

I like both couples but I can remember all of La Voix's dances whereas Harry's have mostly blended into one. This is another year where Karen's choreography has seem totally half-arsed. I also think that La Voix and Aljaz have an enjoyable chemistry in a year when most of the pairings haven't quite worked. (I wonder if having to have a chaperone at all times is dampening things a bit.)

I've got to say, I am intrigued to see what they might do with La Voix in Blackpool. I want a big Danny La Rue production number of On Mother Kelly's Doorstep, but that might be a bit too old-school. Aljaz in drag? Another wish was for them to do Two Little Girls from Little Rock from Gentlemen Prefer Blondes. Of course, this means somebody else has to go next week.

Much as I like Balvinder, and love a superfan on the show, I don't like Couple's Choice and particularly when it is practically used as a free pass to the next week. And that seems to happen a lot.

Weightlo55 · 09/11/2025 09:51

Maybe they want to get him to Blackpool ?

StrictlySequinsandStiIettos · 09/11/2025 09:57

Harry - we are in week 7 so he has done 8 dances? I cannot remember his early ones at all. I liked his AT. The space salsa left me cold. The samba was okay but messy in parts. An early one had him doing push ups. A ballroom had him with shirt cuffs (as per his AT)? So I have blanked on four. A QS maybe?

LaVoix - was not keen on foxtrot, quite liked the paso last week, Cher was so-so, liked Pink Pony even if it didn't descend, really wasn't sure why we had the tango-flavoured jive to Objection tango. Pigeon lady meh. So I have blanked on two.

Don't usually mind jokes by repetition/clap back but we have had the outfit jibes/can only do choreo given and "Tess" link, at least twice each now. As my dearly departed MIL would have said, "the funny's gone out of it now!"

Chris has still got to do his dance as him or partway remove his drag to reveal him, routine. So that Strictly can have a second "moment" for Bafta noms potentially. I shall be honest, I will really admire Chris if he refuses to play along with that. It is a direct steal from DWTS Aus. (Same as Rose's was a direct steal from Nyle, albeit done better).

But I suspect there'll be a couple's choice to get him through then a hey big spender Bassey number in Blackpool.

Holluschickie · 09/11/2025 10:09

It's now the time when I start voting for the ringer as the others start plateauing about halfway.
Lewis and Katya from now on!

StrictlySequinsandStiIettos · 09/11/2025 10:14

Eejit, they don't dance two early they just don't get voted out until week 2.
So, Harry's push ups was his cha cha.
He did do a QS. I forgot his rumba and his Lion King salsa. His space thing was an AS.

Do I think he'd have been better with Nancy or Luba, rather than Karen. Probably not. Those biceps are an issue for frame and Karen did her best with him. Nancy and his Xmas routine was okay. I think Jowita could have possibly took him further.

LaVoix's routines have been more memorable. The one I forgot was the godawful boxing themed cha cha. I now have to re-forget that one.

Aljaz still has some fandom whereas Julian is just starting out. I think Bal probably will go next week and Amber will slip potentially.

I don't have a favourite this year. I was rooting for Jimmy, was excited for Alex Tardis and liked Dani. Latter never got chance to see, former got scuppered by the Purple Prince number and Alex and Jo's routines haven't done it for me. Not sure why. She is lucky not to have been bottom two already, especially the horny salsa.

MrsJamin · 09/11/2025 10:17

That boxing number was absolutely dreadful and he fumbled his way through it! Should have gone then.
I'd like George, Karen, Vicky and Lewis to be the last four. Lewis was undermarked last night, they were amazing.

StrictlySequinsandStiIettos · 09/11/2025 10:34

On average so far, it goes
Lewis
Amber
Alex
George

Harry was better than LaVoie on aggregate as well as by one point last night.
That was Craig.
LaVoix 6, 8, 7, 8
Harry 7, 8, 7, 8
So three judges had them both even and could have gone either way.
Craig changed his mind during/following the DO.
I would imagine either LV or Harry would be happy doing the tour but then again, suspect many of them would so don't think that's played into it. He probably prefers Chris's routines all round/entertainment value. Chris could also compere tour if needed/his paso and AS could make for decent stage numbers.
Had forgotten he had done an AS already though so not sure what else you can do to Big Spender?

StrictlySequinsandStiIettos · 09/11/2025 10:42

He's done his foxtrot too so unless. Fosse-inspired couple's choice, think Bassey's out the picture (shame as LaVoix's Shirley is fab).

cordelia16 · 09/11/2025 10:48

Weightlo55 · 09/11/2025 09:51

Maybe they want to get him to Blackpool ?

That was my thinking! Because if the judges scored him lowest on the night, surely they have to vote off in the danceoff (assuming Harry didn't mess up). They likely weren't expecting LaVoix in the danceoff based on past shows.

cordelia16 · 09/11/2025 11:25

I've just seen that it was only Craig who scored LaVoix lower (1 pt), so I guess saving LaVoix is not as far-fetched as I had thought.

EchoedSilence · 09/11/2025 14:16

It was time for Harry to go.

spoonbillstretford · 09/11/2025 14:53

FFS. La Voix hasn't improved since week 1 in dancing or how he comes across. Can't wait for him.to go.

MrsJamin · 09/11/2025 17:45

It's a shame, I think if Harry wasn't quite so beefy he'd have more flexibility in dancing and moving his body. I'd hoped that it was Karen's year as she's not often had great partners. However you always feel like they include her for her partnering skills rather than a competitive level of dancing and interesting choreography compared to Katya for example. The judges always seem to withold the top scores for her dances, I don't think Craig likes her.

Starandflowers · 09/11/2025 19:20

Karen has come across like she has checked out. She will probably do another year but don’t imagine her staying much longer than that

RandomGeocache · 09/11/2025 20:19

Agree. She is 43 and has been on strictly since 2012. Never won, best place was 2nd with Jamie Laing and she's had her fair share of duffers with Paul Merson, Simon Rimmer and Dave Myers. She is now another year only making it to the half way stage, perhaps getting a randomer in teh Christmas special.

She must be really fed up with the whole thing, I would be.

BritHoward · 09/11/2025 20:40

La Voix was bloody awful

MrsJamin · 11/11/2025 20:18

Although perhaps she's happy working with friends and getting paid handsomely though. Maybe that's enough to keep her grimacing through Craig's contempt.

SaratogaFilly · 15/11/2025 22:23

I reckon it’ll be Bal in the dance off (no idea who with as think Vicky has a big enough fan base to keep her out of it) & she’ll be gone sadly!

RandomGeocache · 15/11/2025 22:26

They really wheeled out the sob stories tonight for lavoix and George. Urgh.

KatyaKabanova · 15/11/2025 22:38

Chris' Mum only died 6 months ago, and his parents seemed very supportive, so I'll give him a pass on that.

Weightlo55 · 15/11/2025 23:13

LV very overmarked in my opinion. Bal undermarked.

Lewis and Katya were phenomenal.

Holluschickie · 15/11/2025 23:20

The spoiler has come! It is not what I expected!
Vicky and Balvinder were in the DO and the judges saved Balvinder. 😮
