Strictly 2025 : The SPOILER Thread (Results and Couplings)

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 05/09/2025 13:03

Starting this a bit early as Spoilers for the couplings could come out at any time.

Thread will normally be the location for the weekly spoiler but will be spoilers for who is paired with who before the 20th if we can get them.

Thanks!

Balvinder and Ellie - the judges save Balvinder

Disappointed for bal being in the bottom 2 again but not sad Ellie went,

SaratogaFilly · 01/11/2025 23:13

Is that the actual result & not just speculation?

whitewineandsnacks · 01/11/2025 23:17

@SaratogaFilly
Actual result.

KatyaKabanova · 01/11/2025 23:20

I'm a bit sad Ellie went, I think she improved this week and had a couple of weeks left. Shame Bal was in the DO again.
It should really have been George and Harry, but hey.

Holluschickie · 01/11/2025 23:23

Right decision though I think.Harry should have been in the bottom two.

PrincessScarlett · 01/11/2025 23:29

A more predictable dance off this week. Ellie can hold her head high but it is definitely the right time for her to go.

Yeah I think so. Weird dance didn't do him any favours.

George should have never been troubling the bottom of the leaderboard last week and he was in the middle this week so nowhere near the worst. He has so much potential and can really dance, if Alexis sorts her choreography and teaching out and lets him. La Voix and Harry were the worst for me this week and I'd prefer La Voix to go soon.

I did think Bal would be in the d.o. though with a rumba just after Lewis' 4 x 10 cc. I don't mind that Ellie has gone.

Mokel · 02/11/2025 06:07

The Strictly Spoiler poll
Have noticed that 90% of the time the two couples at the bottom of the favourite dance are the bottom two in the results.

Right result.

Bal - it was unfair for her to be after Lewis’ 40. I think in the past, the couple that danced after a 40 (before the semis) gets into the dance offf.

HourlyTime · 02/11/2025 06:27

Definitely the right result, Ellie can bow out with pride!

It's not unfair. Someone has to go on after Lewis.

I know but people forget about the dance after a 40 scorer

They don't, necessarily. Would you always have the ringers last in the show? That's the only solution.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 02/11/2025 08:20

I said last week to all the people insisting Ellie would probably win and was being unfairly marked that she had about two weeks left in her. Feel vindicated. She had a good run and did very well.

She did really well, and had a great time. Kudos to Vito for being such an effective teacher.

Holluschickie · 02/11/2025 08:24

Yes, Vito really did a fab job.

Thissickbeat · 02/11/2025 08:41

Ellie did really well, and had improved. She was one of the weakest dancers left so there was no shame in going out at Halloween. I'm really glad she made it to Halloween though.

RandomGeocache · 02/11/2025 09:42

Agree that Vito did amazingly well with her. I did feel in the earlty weeks that she looked very overwhelmed in the area with Claudia.

chaosmaker · 02/11/2025 10:05

She had lots of joy in her dancing but it was time she left. She had a good run.

SerendipityDiamond · 02/11/2025 10:55

Mokel · 26/10/2025 12:21

Next week is Halloween. You usually have at least one week of non themed dancing then it’s Blackpool. Guessing 15th Nov

I think it’s usually the same weekend as Children In Need as they need the studio for that.

StrictlySequinsandStiIettos · 02/11/2025 11:15

I thought she was the worst last week. But this week, I didn't expect her to go, as her routine was more memorable than three others. I thought Alex was overnarked this week.
Ah well. Swings, roundabouts.
It is going to be tricky I think now. I would imagine Lewis and Amber would usually beat anyone in a DO. And George's fans are voting in their droves.
So you end up with two ringers and one novice with massive influence.
I suspect the judges may try and get rid of Amber to prevent that.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 02/11/2025 11:22

Alex WAS overmarked this week, I still expect to see her in the final

But this argument isn't logical, as nobody knew he was going to score 40 until he did. So how would you choose the dancing order without that knowledge?

The right person went this week, IMO.

cordelia16 · 02/11/2025 14:08

I remember hearing or reading that the producers decide the running order after they watch the Friday rehearsals in the studio. (They said they need strong performances to open and close the show, in particular.)

So anyone watching the calibre of Lewis & Katya's dance had to have known that it at least had the strong potential to score high. And they could see it was a high-energy dance, so putting a slower rumba afterward was questionable imo.
