New series of Educating Yorkshire starts Sunday 31st August

I really enjoyed the first series. Dewsbury is a really deprived (but community focussed) area and it was fascinating to see insights from one of their big schools.

Im interested to see how, 12 years on and the influx of permissive parenting and worsening poverty rates, what the school is like now.

I wasn’t a fan of the last head (who has now shacked up with a woman half his age apparently!). I didn’t like how he punished people for snapping back with bullies, saying “We are dealing with the bullying issue”. I HATE when schools say that, because they so rarely are, because otherwise the bullying would have stopped. I thought he was a bit too try hard as well.

But a teacher from last time who I did like is the new head. Looking forward to it!

Yes I will be watching! I remember the last series and can't believe it was that long ago, feel so old now!
