Iga has to be a shoo in for the title now- she's a 5-0 hth against Jasmine, and 4-1 against Veronika.

If Jasmine wins this, I would like her to win the tournament- but I know it's a long shot.

I have watched a many Paolini matches, with Brit commentary- and they really don't ever seem to want her to win.

I'm really pleased for Jasmine- missed the end, trying to fix my daft Virgin box for the 3rd time this week and then went to bed.

Hopefully she can put up a fight against Iga.

Was the end of the road for the Lorenzi in the men's doubles final. But they have had a good week.

I hesitate to even mention the mixed doubles around here, but just seen that Jannik is now teamed up with Siniakova so I guess he’s in it to win it. Iga and Casper have been scheduled to play the second match tomorrow. I find it hard to believe that she will play when she’s playing a final tonight. Although knowing Iga it might not be a long final.

I'm glad Katerina gets to play- by rights, the final should be between her (and Jannik) and Sara Errani /Andrea Vavavoom.

Anything else, is really not mixed doubles cricket.

The fact that since the event was announced, there have been constant partner swapping and dropouts- is farcical.

I just hope this doesn't get adopted at the other slams.

And Alcaraz and Sinner both playing the final today. If the mixed was a proper tournament, there's no way they'd be contemplating playing it the day after!

And why aren't ADM & Katy playing - they really wanted to. Bloody silly, the whole thing.

Yes I was expecting Iga, Jannik and Carlos all to pull out of the mixed doubles, I'm still not sure how they can get to NY in time to play. It looks like Jasmine is the only one of the Cincy finalists who has pulled out so far. I'm not really sure which is sillier, holding a Masters final on a Monday or a mixed doubles tournament in which the entry criteria and seedings are decided based on singles rankings. Jannik and Katerina had to be given a wild card because her ranking was too low...

Not sure why AdM and Katie aren't playing, but I saw she's playing in Cleveland this week. She's had a couple of early exits in the North American swing so maybe she decided it was more important to get some actual match practice than play in a glorified exhibition tournament.

I don’t think that Katie Boulter’s ranking was high enough to qualify for the mixed doubles - I think they did ask for a wild card but are probably glad not to be involved now (Would have been quite entertaining watching them though!)

I don’t even know what the format is or how long it will take - the proper mixed doubles players must be really peed off!

And the fact the whole thing was based on singles ranking for a doubles event was completely screwed up.
Fizzy Katerina was very vocal after winning Wimbledon that she wasn't impressed at not automatically being part of the US Open event. It really does have to be won by one of the actual doubles players (even if it means perhaps Jannik will benefit).

Jasmine and Aryna definitely made the right call, withdrawing.

I thought Jannik, Carlos or Iga would withdraw too. But there was probably a lot of pressure on Carlos due to the (probably totally fabricated) romance rumours, which will no doubt overshadow most of his matches anyway.

Not sure who will win this one- the hth is in Carlos's favour but Jannik has seemed a bit stronger this week.

And Mo is umpiring.

No chance of seeing the Jasmine/Iga match- I will probably be verty asleep by then.

I think Jannik is the favourite, the conditions here suit him.

Stupid time for a final and it’s clashing with the football. Even Carlos said it was weird having the final on Monday.
