I am still waiting for Carlos and Jannik to withdraw .Emma Navarro has- she was Jannik's partner.

I'm really sad for Joe in particular- but he's still relatively young in doubles terms, so hopefully he will start winning again soon. Fingers crossed they will do well at the US Open.

I would normally be tempted to cheer for Atmane here as the underdog, but since it’s Jannik’s birthday I want him to win.

The US mixed debacle is getting more farcical every day. Instead of scrabbling around for your third alternate (singles player) partner, just get the doubles players in!! Radical idea, I know - doubles players playing doubles - but I believe there's quite a lot of them twiddling their thumbs that week, as they're not allowed to play the exhibition 'tournament' !!!
